My friend and her family, party of 18, are headed to DL in a week and would like to have a birthday dinner while they are there. Any recommendations of a restaurant at either DL or CA that are good and can accomadate that many people with out multiple tables? There will be a mix of adults and kids.

Thank you!

I'd probably go to Downtown Disney or one of the Resort Hotel restaurants. Good options are Goofy's Kitchen and Hook's Pointe at DLH...Storyteller's Cafe at GCH...(There's also Napa Rose at GCH and Steakhouse 55 at DLH...these two can be a little pricey, though.) In DTD The Rainforest Cafe, Tortilla Jo's and Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen are all good and should be able to accommodate your party. The main thing would be to make advance reservations.

Like PP said, the Jazz Kitchen would be a good place for a large party. I've also seen large parties at Napa Rose but that will be $$$$. I've been to Catal as well and know they can accommodate large parties as well but I didn't think their food was that great.

We had a party of 13 and went to Rainforest cafe. You would need to make reservations. Also have coupons for there for kids meals at 99 cents, saved us a tons of money since they are kind of a spendy rest.
Let me know if you want them I can email them to you.

We had a party of 11 and ate at Rainforest Cafe, we made reservations and had a kind-of a circular private room towards the back all to ourselves. We also ate at Goofy's Kitchen with no problem. As well, depending on where you are staying, our whole group had a few great meals at Mimi's! Plus you get buns and banana bread and other loaves that they'll let you take home for breakfast the next day if you don't eat them all.

Have fun!

We had a party of 18 at Rainforest cafe and had an incredible time. Our reservation was ready and waiting and the service was great. There was plenty to entertain the kids and adults, and the food was pretty good too. A week should be enough time if you call TODAY and aren't too picky about the time.

Another vote for Brennan's...

I would think a party of your size would be close to taking up one of their "rooms" upstairs.

If they are looking at in the park, I think of the Big Thunder Barbeque...it has thosae big long rows of picnic tables...they might be able to shove a few together. But definately call, I would love to see the CMs face if someone tried to walk up with a party of 18! lol!

Big Thunder Ranch is a great suggestion. Their tables seat 8-14 people, and given as little as 30 minutes notice they can probably get everyone on adjacent tables.
