Looking For Resort Feedback

We're planning our next trip in mid August. I was looking for some feedback about the following offsite resorts:

Silver Lake Resort

Vacation Village At Parkway

Cypress Pointe Resort

Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort

We're trying to get a location that's close to Disney property. Any feedback would be a great help. Thanks!

Silver Lake Resort

Never stayed, cannot comment

Vacation Village At Parkway

Nice units, large resort, very spread out and no "resort feel". You must drive to anything and everything you want to do - almost to the point of needing to drive to the pools. 3rd Choice

Cypress Pointe Resort

Small resort, close to everything, extremely pedestrian friendly (VERY rare in Orlando), units updated, good on site amenities and very nice. 1st Choice

Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort

Large resort, car a must, great units but nothing is "walk to". Very much a full service resort. 2nd choice - close to a tie with CP.

I'm currently taking an honors class at my University that studies Disney's communicational skills, and we are going to be visiting WDW over break; staying at Pop Secret hotel resort.
What would you suggest we do while at that hotel, IE what is special about that specific resort?

did you try the resorts that are on downtown disney property, some of them are not too bad for price... i stayed at the hilton at downtown disney in 2008, and it wasnt bad.. just chech out the downtown disney hotels website
