I have never stayed in any of these Resorts and we are looking to splurge because of my December 2008 graduation. The castle is by far my favorite and I know it would be beautiful with all the winter lights.

Just wondering about how close we w would be, unzoomed pictures? Do you have to squint to see the theme park?

Thanks so much.

We stayed at the CR in a Tower MK view room in Oct. Here are a few pics of the castle from our balcony. I don't believe these are zoomed in, at least not that much!

Here's our CR tower MK view room without using the zoom...

I know you didn't ask me, but I'll give my input anyway!LOL;)
I felt that view was totally worth it! Especially at night watching Wishes from our balcony, IMO, priceless! Yes you saw some parking lot, but that was only if you looked directly down. We didn't even notice it when looking straight out towards the park.

Missmet...did you find it worth it? Seems like alot of parking lot.

It's definitely worth it! You notice the parking lot more in the pictures than you do actually there. It is my number one memory of all the resorts I've stayed at. We stayed there half the week, then moved to BWI. We loved BWI & it is my favorite but we couldn't help but want to go back to that room. It was just so convenient & magical & that was before they had the gorgeous make-over. If I wasn't a DVC member I would stay in that room every trip!!

I would go for it- you won't regret it.

Ok,so I to gather that some rooms have more of a parking lot view than others?

I'm in a wheelchair. If I do stay at CR, I'd want the easiest access to monorail possible. What floor would I need to request?

if you go to my website www.myspace.com/bethandbuffy
in the slide show (right hand side) you'll see unzoomed pictures of a MK view from our main building concierge room at the GF and our tower concierge room at the CR (both by day and night)..

The MK view room we were in was at the front of the resort. If you were standing in front of the resort looking at it our room was on the left side. We saw the parking lot but there are trees and we really didn't notice it at all. With that view your attention is drawn straight to the Castle and Space Mountain!

We were on the floor right above the monorail. I believe that it was the 6th floor. There are elevators for access to the monorail. You would need to take the elevator to the 4th floor(from whatever floor you are staying on) and then board the elevator for the monorail(there is also an escalator). I would say very easy access from anywhere your room is in the tower.

Thank you so very much to all of you-this is a very big decision for me. I just got back from a mini-trip to AKL a few days ago so I'm hoping I can wait a bit to book.

Will they still have MK Tower rooms by the time MVMCP dates are announced? I'm also worried about booking on a non MVMCP night as we DEFINITELY want to go again next year!!

There is no difference with MK views when it comes to view of the parking lot. They all have the same view. All the MK view rooms are on the front of the building, they all look at the same parking lot. The thing with it is, you don't notice the parking lot that much because it's directly below you. If you look straight down, than yes you'll notice it, but if you look straight out you won't notice it at all. That goes for all of the MK view rooms in the tower. I never heard ANY noise from the parking lot. We were on the 9th floor. My mom is in a wheelchair & CR is the MOST convenient for this. You just go out you room, get in the elevator, get out of the elevator & there's the monorail. If you need the bus, you just go down the elevator & then it's right outside under a covered walkway. That's another reason why I loved CR. You never had to go outside, so if it was raining it wasn't a big deal until you got where ever you were going, unlike at Poly or GF (unless you in the main building). When we stayed at those resorts it was always a walk outside in the elements to get to both the monorail & bus stop.

IMO, CR has the best MK views. GF is hard to get & when you get it, the castle looks so tiny. Poly the same thing really. CR is the only one you can really see the whole park. I love the view there.

THANK YOU SOOOO much for your expertise!!!

Remember you must first look at the MK all the way across the water when you staying at GF or the Poly. When you stay at the CR you are only a 5 minute walk away.

Remember that this window in the wedding pavilion was specially made with magnified glass so the castle would be able to be seen in pictures. It's not near that big in plain sight. :thumbsup2
