I just booked AKL 2 bedroom suite as a surprise for my family. We are heading down for the UCA National cheerleading competiton in March....staying at All Star Sports (with ALL the cheerleaders). When it is over we will be heading over to AKL...my family thinks we are staying in 2 standard view rooms!!! What I am looking for is pictures of the 2 bedroom suite.

Also, I booked the dining for the 2 nights we are staying but now I am thinking that it might be a waist since we will have concierge food for breakfast & snacks. Help!!!!

Don't have pix but have stayed in one of the 2BR suites in the past - your family will not be disappointed. The MBR is large with a king sized bed and a nice bathroom with jacuzzi. The living area has a nice sitting area plus a small dining area with frig, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a very pretty 1/2 bath off this area too. The 2nd bedroom is typically a room with 2 queen beds and bathroom; possibly a sofa too; I forget. They do have one 2BR suite that has a Queen and a bunk in the 2nd bedroom - if that interests you, ask the IPO staff to request if for you. It is on the corner above the hot tub and an animal viewing area - we have had it twice and the giraffe were so close, it was awesome. Others don't like that suite because they hear hot tub noises if their patio doors are open. That suite has 2 balconies - a long one along the living room and MBR and a second one off the 2nd BR. All overlook the savannas. Oh, the bunk suite is very convenient to the pool - just walk down the back stairs. The other 2BR suites are at the ends of the trails.

Sorry- I don't have a picture but I wanted to say HI!!

We are also going down for the UCA All Star Cheerleading Nationals in March and I just booked 3 extra days at the Wilderness Lodge (Staying at ASMo for the first 5 days!!). IT will be so nice to move to a quiet resort after 5 days of cheerleaders:cheer2: :cheer2:

Good Luck!!!

Don't have pictures, but last March for spring break, my DSis stayed in a 2br suite at AKL (her first trip with her family, including husband and kids, ages 13, 5,4, and 1, breastfeeding). She hadn't brought her kids to WDW before; I have many (MANY) times. The suite was over $1200/night. They were NEVER in the room (pretty much). We stayed at AKL 2 times before this trip - it was about $350/night (annual pass discount). I didn't like our room - one really uncomfortable queen bed and one bunk bed. I had stayed twice before and liked AKL, not anymore. Her room REEKED of smoke when they checked in. The staff was NASTY (never before, but yes they were). She even admitted it was a waste. I won't stay there again - I prefer the Epcot resorts. I personally don't recommend the 2br suite there - you may do better in a DVC resort IMHO.

I think the 2 bdrm is an one bdrm with a studio connecting...so if you take LisaS pics and put them together you will have your 2 bdrm. Are your ressies for a 2 bdrm concierage level with a savannah view? WOW, what a dad!!!

Oooookkkkkkk, not sure why that is showing up that way. I will pm you. This site has pictures of most of the disney suites.

I can't find any pictures specifically of a 2 Bedroom, but LisaS on the DVC boards has kindly posted a LOT of AKV information as well as these pictures of a one bedroom at AKV.

There are three pages of images contained in this link so be sure to check them all!

She also has posted pictures of a Studio.

This should at least give you some idea. Hope this helps! :)

The 2BR CL suites are not the same as DVC suites so these photos don't help.

These are from last September. Hubby, kis (3) and I took my Mom and Dad and little brother. Because we were a party of 8 we were considered a "grand gathering" and were supposed to get connecting rooms (or right next to another.) My mom is in a wheelchair and therefore required a hanicapped accessible room. Well, at check-in there was nothing available. So, lucky for us... we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom suite! We loved it! It was beautiful and spacious. The room was located on the second floor above the hottub area, but it was nice and quite. I think the best thing was that my parents stayed on 7 days while we stayed 10, so we had the whole place :) which was very nice!

These are just from the master (queen) room and suite. The "2nd" bedroom was just a standard room with a bunkbed.

AT the bottom of Buzz's website he has a link to another person's website that has many suite pictures including AKL, there are three suites shown for AKL and many other properties. Can't paste the link due to copyright issues I suspect. I found the suite pictures very fun to look at.

Take Care!

thanks everyone...now if I can just keep my mouth shut everything will work out. I don't plan on tell anyone until we actually walk into the room!!!
