Looking for pictures and/or experiences with these in-room gifts...

Do you know how long they are, shoulder to the bottom of the robe?

Shoulder seam to bottom of robe, measured along the back of the robe while it was lying flat on my bed= 45"

They are 1size fits most. 100pct Poly. Sleeves are 3/4 length with several close lines of stitching around the cuff. Stitching matches the several lines of close stitching around the opening of the robe - stitching is white to match the robe with the exception of the silver stitching of the DCL logo (upper left chest). Belt is removeable (can adjust to higher or lower loop). 2 pockets just below belt (one each side).

I love the Romance for 2 idea!! My husband and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the trip. Glad to see good opinions of the package. It will be a wonderful surprise to have waiting for us! New Disney Cruiser.. loving all the great info on these forums! :)

45"? That sounds like a decent size. Much smaller that me and it's a full length robe, but hey, nothing wrong with that. ;)

You can sort of see how the robes are in this shot. All rolled up- silver logo-not silk screened. They are of good quality. And of course the sparkling wine!

Any idea how far ahead we can book our stateroom gifts? I noticed the cruise robe in the Disney Store has gone up to $130. Wanted to get this booked in case prices were the increasing on this package as well. I'm cruising the first week of October and on-line check-in for us is Jul 5.
In case you weren't aware, the robes in the Romance package and the robes at the Disney Store are two different robes. The Disney Store robes are of a much better quality and I like the logo better. We received the Romance package as a gift from our children and while the robes are nice, the material and logo just are not the same.
I have seen the Disney store type robes in the shops on board, however they are about the same cost as at the Disney Store. When your getting two robes and a bottle of wine plus a small box of chocolates for the same price as the Disney Store robe your not going to get the same quality.
Its still a nice package.

I knew they were different, but was worried that they might bump up the other robe prices as well. Paranoid after reading too many cruise pricing threads I guess. :confused3

We wanted something to wear out on the verandah in the morning with not too much space taken up in our suitcases after. The ones in the store looked thick.

The one in the store is the one they "loan you" on board. It was really nice. I like the long sleeves. I have 2/4 waffle from Bellagio Las Vegas and the on board one was so much nicer. It was definitely thicker (but not like a clod weather robe)...it was like the ones they give you at the spas.

EDIT: that should say a 3/4 sleeve waffle one

I am traveling with my 6 year old on the Fantasy 11/26.. I had planned on ordering the romance for one package mainly bc of the robe, this would be a MUCH better option for me if possible to have a "loaner robe"!
We are doing FE, and 4 nights at WDW post cruise, so I need every available inch of luggage space!

I have never had the same experience as Mumfam with getting the one from the store as a loaner however I have always had a robe. Just ask your room host and they will provide you with one. The other option open to you is to just pick one up from the spa and keep it in your room for the duration of your cruise. There will always be one.
The ones we have received are waffle type but ours have never had the dcl logo on them. maybe we were just unlucky every time.

Great! Thanks for the tip! I could care less about the logo, mainly just want a robe to wear while I sit out on the verandah with my morning coffee.

I don't have pictures, but we did the Nautical Character Experience for my 3-year old last week, and she loved it (Wanted the Frozen one, but that was gone by the time I went to purchase :worried:). Was pretty much exactly as it shows in the picture, and she loved using the towel after her bath in the evenings. They don't really show the mirror cling in the picture, but it's fairly large (and is currently attached to our patio door :D). Is it pricey? Sure, most things Disney are. Is it worth it? To us it totally was. We brought all the decorations home, and are going to put them back up somewhere else for her enjoy at home :) Be warned, the centerpiece is large, and would only fit in the largest of our suitcases without folding!

How small/flat do the robes squish down for packing? I'd love to buy the romance for 2 package for my in-law's but they like to just pack in carry-ons and I don't know if they'd be able to fit these in.

we have bought the in room gifts 3 times before over the past several years - Birthday, Bon Voyage, and Merry time Christmas. I reuse them throughout the year for celebrations at our home. This year, I was considering for our next cruise the Glow in the Dark Star Wars Experience, Dory, and/or Nautical Experience (We have 2 separate rooms) with 1 girl(6)/ 1 boy (9). We love them and the kids love the surprises... just not sure which ones are the best the the pictures on the website aren't the best.

Also surprised DH with the Romance for 2.....he loved the robe! They were very nice and definitely worth the price.

  • We have bought the nautical character package for May 17. It was our first time to book something like that. I will get pics if you are still looking by then.
