Looking for Part Time job suggestions for someone who works a 9-5 already

Bar tending (in one of the dozens of brew pubs that are springing up ) and working as a server in a restaurant are the most popular with my co-workers with side gigs.
I am assuming that picking up overtime at your main job is not an option. That would be easiest.

Actually, op, at there other jobs available where you work? I used to do two different jobs for one employer - one full time, then at the end of that shift, one part time. I had a co-worker doing three different jobs at once.

Kids sports referee. That's been dh's side gig for more than 10 years. Accepts games on his terms and time. Some nights and weekends. It's helped cover our own 4 kids' activity costs and provided dh and I with disposable spending $.

I recently applied for a job for the 2020 Census. Since you have to Interview people when they’re at home, it will mostly be evening and weekend hours.

I guess it depends on the going rate for officials in your area and how abusive your parents are in your area. I never could see doing it for pay. I did it for years in Little League as a volunteer. Looks like the going rate now is $35 to $50 per game here, plus I have to layout money for my gear and about $125 a year for liability insurance. You'd sure have to do a lot of games to many any money. Could explain why they can't find adults to officiate games around here anymore.

Being a kids referee also assumes you know that sport well enough to officiate. The downside as previously mentioned is putting up with ungreatful/aggressive parents who think you always made a bad call. Probably explains why they have trouble finding enough adults to do these jobs. Too little pay for too much hassle.

If you live in an area where it’ll work you could look at a local arena or stadium for all sorts of jobs.
