Looking for one more TS restaurant

We're going in April for six days/seven nights I've made ADRs for 5 places so far: Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, LeCellier, O'Hana and Garden Grill. I have one more TS and don't know where to use it!! We're thinking somewhere else in Epcot or just at the resort (CBR). What does everyone think?? Just FYI - MGM is out, but any other resort suggestion is welcome, too.

If you don't mind a little noise with your meal, my DW and I were very surprised at how much we enjoyed Alfredo's during our September 2006 trip.

We tried it in a past year, having a so-so meal, but decided to give them another chance. Turns out, we enjoyed our meals so much we went back a second night. (We were lucky to be in the right place at the right time, as a cancellation was found around the time we wanted.)

Last trip we had to fill in a meal and took a random chance with BOMA's at the AKL. We loved it and will go back this year. It was a pleasant surprise for me - a simply meat and taters kind of guy!

I've heard good reviews about BOMA, but am a little afraid to try it. My husband is also a meat and potatoes guy, and we have three boys who are following in his footsteps! Do they have much for little ones to eat?

Really, don't bother with Boma - overrated. I would go to Kona at the Polynesian.

Isn't "overrated buffet" an oxymoron?

The only reason I like the buffets is that is gives my kids (boys 9, 6 and 2) more choices. They always find something they like.

I like the menu at Alfredo's but have heard bad reviews about it being too crowded, and the waiters being rude?? (I would expect this in France, but in Italy??? - just kidding everyone!) We're travelling with 3 boys - 9, 6 and 2, and we don't do well with being crowded.

We like the Concourse Steak House in the Contemporary Resort.

Myself, DH and oldest DS liked the food. We were pleased with the service as well.

My younger two liked seeing the monorails glide by.

Last time we went to Disney we tried Boma and were quite happy. DD2 and DsD11 had no problem eating. Be warned the desserts are GREAT and the boys may want to eat just that. I would not recommend Chef Mickey's at this point the last few times we went very disappointing. The buffet at Germany was interesting and good. They have chicken fingers and pasta for the boys if needed and certainly meat and potatoes. Great show too. Japan (don't know the hababci restraurants name) is very fun if you are looking for TS in Epcot. Anyway let me know if you'd like more suggestions

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast last time - we really enjoyed it, but seemed like we spent a long time on breakfast - would have rather been enjoying the parks! We also ate at Teppanyaki in Japan, and would do this again this year, but they're closed while we're there The boys really enjoyed having our meal cooked right in front of us and our cook was great - neat tricks. I would recommend Teppanyaki to anyone.

I'm now thinking about Boma - we could go after AK closes one night - I may have to talk my husband into it though....

Sorry - not AllEars - it was a thread here on the DIS that gave it bad reviews. I think it's going on my list though - we like Chinese and it would be easier to "sell" than Boma

We ate a Nine Dragons last April and found it to be just awful. The waiter was rude, they had no ice tea so instead of telling us this he brought some sort of green tea and never brought another drink after it was requested several times. We were on the DDP and they acted like they really did not want us there. The only person who actually ate their food was my husband. So needless to say we had to stop again and buy CS for everyone else!

Now I'm actually looking at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. Everywhere I look this seems to get good review. Any comments?

What about Chef Mickey's for dinner? My girls loved it in November. We're going back in July and they could pick one place and they both agreed on Chef Mickey's for dinner agian.

We loved LTT! We enjoyed it so much that we tried to get another ADR for that same week, but they were full. It had the best character interaction of any character meal we've ever done, very relaxed atmosphere as well. We never felt rushed, and our server was great. The food was delicious and plentiful - we had 2nds and 3rds of everything! We will definitely be heading back there next time.

Boma has an entire buffet spread of children's foods - the usual - chicken fingers, fries, spaghetti, mac & cheese, pizza, cookies, etc. My DSs aged 6 & 9 started with the traditional kid's foods but once they tried a few African things they absolutely loved them! They had flank steak & prime rib as well, which both of my boys enjoyed.

I just posted that we loved LTT - and we loved Boma too! It would be hard to choose between the 2, I guess it depends on how easily you can get to AKL/Boma in your day. We stayed at AKL so there wasn't an issue of getting there from someplace else. Boma felt a little more crowded, and it's not brightly lit (all of AKL is on the dim side) but the food was outstanding.
