Hello DIS folks!

I read recently that those little tubes that hold mini M&M's are just the right size to hold quarters and pennies neatly together for penny pressing in the parks. I knew just what the posters were referring to, but now of course I can't find them anywhere. I checked Target, Walmart, and Walgreens. :confused3 Has anybody seen any of these lately? I'm willing to drive all over town on this quest (which specially is the Minneapolis metro, but I'm hoping some sort of nationwide chains have them!)

You might just try a different Wal-Mart. Ours has them, at the checkout counters. :confused3

I've discovered that our local Sam's Club carries a 24 pack of tubes for $9. Way more than I need, obviously, but since I've spent the time (and gas) to visit two Targets, two Walmarts, and three Walgreens in a search for tiny novelty candy dispensers, I think I just might suck it up and buy the big pack.

I better come up with a plan in advance to get rid of all the candy before I end up eating 24 tubes of mini M&Ms myself!

If you can't find those, what about film canisters. You can call any store with a one hour photo. They will save them for you. They might already have some on hand. And they are free.

I find mine at Joannes. I'm ready to press 10 more pennies! :woohoo:

They are all over the parks and resorts- DD got them at many locations throughout the parks.

You can get them at ALL of the stores in my area--there in at the check out area (the HAPPY candy area-I like to call it, where I always get the "can I have") CVS, ACME, GIANT, WALMART, yes I found them at BJ's I got them last year to give out to some of our neighbors for halloween...you know what else is good...the "airborne" bottles, you can get the generic brand the bottle is the same, I have some of both the airborne & the m&M bottles. Let me know I didn't see when you are going down but I can always give you some of mine.:goodvibes Wow I just saw that you will be down @ CBR on 9/21 so will I!! I do have extras of both so let me know & I can brign them along!!

Our Walmarts, Albertsons, Walgreens and Frys all have them. Good luck

For our last trip to WDW, I had also thought of using the M&M tubes but decided to purchase a change purse that has two compartments- one for pennies, one for quarters. This worked out very well because I only had to use one hand to hold the change purse and the other to get out the change. There was also a little pocket with a flap on the outside. I put my pressed pennies there. I know this was a little more expensive but I plan on using it everyday and on my next trip!

OhGee,
Welcome Aboard! Enjoy the ride!

Wow, thanks everybody for all the great ideas! I eventually decided to go with the mega pack from Sam's Club rather than keep looking all over town. I don't know what Minnesota's problem is with mini M&M's! :confused3 My kids are going to be thrilled to be able to get a souvenir everywhere we go in the World.

I think that it's just Murphy's Law. I couldn't find one until AFTER our trip, then I saw them everywhere! People were even giving them to my kids as treats. Go figure, huh?

Our HEB had them on sale 4/$1.00 last week... I need to check and see if they're still on sale and grab some more. I never buy candy and my girls got very excited to see all the mini M&M's flying into my cart!!! I want to give them to their cousins, too...... I'm off to the store!
