Question as per the title. I have really struggled to come up with much information on this lens at all in terms of resale value as there don't seem to be many of them around.
It would be used on a DX body and from what I have found AF will not be a problem in this regard and MF is superb.
I've been watching one on eBay which hasn't attracted any bids but I'm wondering if the price is a little high. I could only find a few price recommendations/references in Euros. This one has a starting bid of $360, which seems to be a bit high.
I DO understand that people have not been too keen on the lack of contrast but for a portrait lens, I really like the soft look that it gives.
Any thoughts would be welcome. I am tempted to make the guy an offer because it's cheap enough to be worth a bit of fun and experimentation for me but I'm not sure his price is reasonable, especially since it looks like it would be difficult to sell it on if I wanted to let it go after a while.
Any thoughts?
