Looking for ideas for surprise!

About 6 months ago we sold our older..like 17 year old..class C. Our 4 children were disappointed as they enjoy the ride to our vacation destination, just as much as when they get there. Obviously, we have made so many family memories in the RV.


On X-mas we plan to surprise them with a new class A. We have 4 kids ranging from 17-10.

I would love ideas on how to surprise them. Scavenger hunt..gifts to unwrap..any ideas you have!! We did purchase a Lego RV. Not sure what to do with it yet.

Also, if you have any great board games you love to play. My kids enjoy anything from UNO to Risk.

Ooh fun! Wrapped gift ideas:

• Atlas
• Camping Chairs
• A lantern
• Maybe a travel mug or something? Do you have a specific kind of cup or mug that you travel with that would trigger them?
• A sticker map for on the RV
• A campfire poker or smores sticks or a pie iron

And for games, we like the following when driving (we put down non-skid shelf liner on the dinette table):

• Bananagrams (this can get fun ans silly based on what we've been up to on a given trip)
• Scrabble Deluxe version (it has little ridges that hold the tiles on the board)
• Wits and Wagers (we can't play this when driving since we're only a family of 3 and you need at least 3 players...but you guys could! Super fun game!)
• Monopoly Empire - we love Monopoly and this version is a bit easier for traveling since you don't have to mess with cards and the money is more simplified into bigger denominations
• Connect Four, I lose a lot at that when I think I'm about to win
• Yahtzee
• Blisters (a dice game...there's another name for it too, but I can't remember!)

I think a cool surprise could be to park it at a relatives house (that perhaps you might visit during that holiday time), and as you go and visit and they see it, you Could be just as surprised... "Oh look Grandma and Grandpa got a new RV... Wow!" and as you "Tour" it, you could then surprise them by leaving hints IN the RV (perhaps one of their own Plushy Animals on the bed) or having them "Try out" a bed And then "Surprise... That's YOUR bed!"

I am sure whatever you come up with it will be a great hit.
