We are a family of 4 and have never been to Disney we have a budget of about 2000.00 can we do it? Were should i look for tips and advice? Whats a good resort? My kids are 18 months and 4 years old.
Thank you

:welcome: to the DIS boards!!!

I know that a lot of DISers have gotten in on that special offer, so it seems like a good one. I think that with careful planning, you can stay close to your budget. To keep the costs down, my family and I went to WDW during the off season. We stayed at a non-Disney hotel (Comfort Suites Maingate East), which served a free substantial breakfast every morning (waffles, cereal, eggs, juice, etc.) We were able to find a great deal on hotels.com. We also bought our WDW tickets in advance through a reputable discount ticket website. We also ate at counter service restaurants instead of table service restaurants and brought snacks in the parks with us. We really saved lot of money and still had a great time. (We plan to splurge a little on our next trip, though. ;))

To help you plan your trip, I recommend that you get a good guide book if you haven't already done so. I really liked the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. The DIS really helped me out a lot, too. You can get a lot of great info on the Theme Park Attractions forum and the Disney Tips forum. If you're want to stay on Disney property, check out the Disney resorts forum. If you want to look at your off-property options, check out the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum.

Sorry that this is kinda long, but I hope it helps! :)

First of all, all children under 3 are free at Disney, so your 18 month old will be free. With the new Buy 4 get 3 free deal your family can stay at a value resort (All-Star Movies, Music, & Sports or Pop Century) for 7 nights with 6 day park hoppers and the basic dining plan for about $2,100.00.

Thank you! i ended up booking today for 2875.00 at the Carribean Beach the week of March 17th that included airfare and our meals so i thought the price was really good. Now i just need help planning our days and which attractions are a must at each park or what shows to make time for. Where can i find that info?

Should we eat at 1900 park fare or LeCellier??

Thank you this board has so much stuff!!

I use www.touringplans.com for planning my park days. They have a crowd calendar that tells you which parks to visit on which days for the best crowd levels. That way I know which park I will be in on which day so I can may our ADRs (advance dining reservations). It cost $7.95 to join their site and it worth every penny in my opinion. You need to make your ADRs as soon as possible. Your 180 day ADR window opened up in September, so all of the popular places are booking up quickly, as the week you are going is the start of Spring Break season. LeCellier will most likely be booked solid at this point. You can still probably get an ADR at 1900 Park Fare, if not for Dinner, then definitely for lunch.

Good luck! Hope ya'll have a magical vacation!
