Looking for fun ways to announce our family

We say we're Tom and Bobbi, they have said that. I'll go with the Wozniaks if they suddenly say no. It's a fine tradition.

In 2014 we had ourselves announced as the Jack Skellington family, and they did it.

Us too! Although, we just said "Skellington" when we sailed during a Halloween sailing last October. They didn't even blink.

Every cruise but ne we have them just announce us by our last name. But one year we took my mother in law for her 80th birthday. We had a large group with different last names. So we just asked if they would announce the queen mum and her court jesters. They did and it was a hit with the whole family.

We tried "Queen Linda and her minions" and they said no.

we are normally the Griswolds since we are known as that at home. And we scream as loud as we can still and normally its dead quiet and everyone stares. Thats how we roll.
I LOVE the way you roll.

Our first cruise with Disney will be with our granddaughters in December and we think being introduced like royalty will knock their socks off. :-)

I love this group :)

I love when they announce our regular names too, adds to the magic imo

They have stopped doing the silly names in the past year or so. I'm guessing eva's experience was from before then.

It was a couple years ago on the Fantasy. I think the only reason they were ok with it was because we had a large group with so many last names that were difficult to pronounce. Also, we made sure to tell them that it was my mother in laws 80th birthday.

I kept my last name so the announcement is a little awkward for us... we've tried the whole both last names thing but its too long so we just smile and say no thank you and keep moving. No grumpy award here either, they ask if we know where to go and we say yes. :)

Guarantee they remember that when you get home. Make sure you yell real loud, we had 16 people once and it was ridiculous. We also do the same entering dinner and you better hope they dont start singing Happy Birthday

Let loose, be a kid, and enjoy life

Slightly :offtopic: -- but on the same note as those who said "no thank you" to the announcement, when we finally sailed on the Dream, after boarding I wanted to run around and take pictures of the atrium and stores, etc. sans people -- but there was this one CM who kept trying to direct us to the lunch and insisted that we must go to Cabanas. My husband finally told her -- we know, it's not our first cruise -- give us a minute, and we'll be going to Enchanted Garden when we're ready! She seemed rather surprised, but finally backed off. Anxious much!?! LOL

As a side note, I've found the best time to take Atrium pictures with nobody around is Castaway Cay day as well as after the bars close for the night. Both times it's like a ghost town. I love having the late-night ship to myself. I'll stay out until 4 in the morning just to enjoy the complete lack of people. It's so peaceful.
