I had seen some comments about it being out of date and musty smelling. We stayed at Marriott (Now Holiday Inn) last year and there was a terrible musty odor. Anyone stay at Doubletree lately and if so, please comment on your experience.
Thanks

We stayed at the Doubletree DTD in May for 4 nights. While I had also read a lot of negative reviews, I must admit our experience was quite the opposite. Our room looked as though everything in it was new right down to the carpeting. As much as I looked --couldn't find scrathes on the furniture, mold in the bathroom or dust bunnies behind the couch and beds!!!LOL
IMO the breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff was outstanding. Really QUITE suspicious behavior don't you think!! There was 3 of us myself, DH and DS5. We are also Hilton Honors members and paid 107.00 a night--not sure if that has any relevence or not. The buses only run to the parks about every 45 minutes. We had a car and have been to WDW many times so we usually drove to the parks. Depends on the patience factor of your traveling party.
Whatever you decide to do, I know you will have a great time!!::yes:: ::yes::

Thanks for the comments!!
What floor were you on? Maybe that makes a difference.

We stayed on the 7th floor. Also, whether or not the room was smoking or non-smoking may have something to do with the musty smell. We were in a non-smoking room. My DH has allergies and the room did not bother him.
Let me know if you have any more questions!!
