We are big fans of the Linden Street Quick-Dri towels from JC Penney. They were on sale yesterday, and go on sale frequently. They are nice and fluffy, but not so thick that they take forever to hang dry in the bathroom, or require extra drying in the dryer.
We love "The Big One" towels, too! They are the only kind I will buy. They are so soft and absorbent, and they get better with each washing. I have one set that is several years old, and they still look brand new. Like the PP said, they go on sale quite often.
The Big Ones are great....but I bought some of the Kohls Sonoma, and hands down they are nicer and fluffier after washing a lot,I have the Kohls Laura Ashley too and they still look nice and soft, but the fluffiest is the Sonoma. I have seen the Penneys quick drys, and I would probably go to these if I ever throw out everything and start over,as I wash a ton of towels weekly.
I'm actually very happy with the Target's home collection brand towels that I bought a couple years ago. It was more about the bright colors that made me buy them for our bathroom. But they're soft and fluffy and big enough to wrap around. They've changed the design on them slightly and the colors last year, I'm kinda dissapointed I didn't get more when mine were on clearance. I think I spent about 90 dollars for a set of 6 (bath towel, hand towl, wash cloth).
