My criteria was that it had to have rechargeable lithium batteries and not take AA.

I got my son (will be 13) this one for his birthday (he has not opened it yet). Shipping was only $1, and this camera got great reviews. A bit more than you wanted to spend, but to me it looks like a great camera!

I'm going to check into this one. A quick glance shows reviews to be about 1/2 and 1/2.
