My brother wants all of us to go to Disney together in 2012. We haven't done it in 13 years. Wow! I didn't realize it has been that long. He wants to go for the Christmas feel. I rather not, I like the warmer feel when on vacation, but I'm doing it for him.:) The only thing I said was, I have to be home to shop for Black Friday;) so we are leaving the day after that. We probably only go for a week since it so close to Christmas. So my question is, how is the crowds starting on Saturday after Thanksgiving to the first day of Dec.? How is the weather? It has been years and years since I been there so late in the season.
Any information you have will be great. I have been there NYE, and the beginning of Nov. never after Thanksgiving. Please help me plan for this time of the year.

Thank You:)

The crowds will be very heavy until Monday. And keep in mind when the sun goes down it will be cold. I took hats/gloves and coats and was glad we did.

See that is what I don't want. I don't want to be out and bundled up trying to keep warm. I have done that, and I don't like it. I think being in the cold is worst then being in the heat. I just don't know what to do:confused3

This is the week we always go. (From Sat. to Sat. right after Thanksgiving) And we have never had any problems. :thumbsup2 Especially if you take the time to follow a crowd calendar. Christmas time at Disney really is a wonderful experience. :goodvibes

We went the week after Thanksgiving 2010.....first day weather was in the 80's and then the bottom fell out for the rest of the week....highs barely in the 60's, some nights in the 40's......coat and hat days.....not what I go to Florida for...I can have that weather at home....

Crowds were bigger than expected...leaning towards huge....not a slack time as others state or as in years ago....I'll never go back in late November and early December again...we want the heat and use of the pool and touring in shorts and tank tops....

We just returned from our 2011 trip a couple of days ago.....outstanding time period.....parks very uncrowded....resort uncrowded....weather in the 90's and nights in the mid 70's.....perfect weather for everything.....it's our special time to go.......

We have been that week the last 2 years. Both years we started off in shorts and short sleeved shirts day and night (the nights were warm enough that we did did not need any kind of jacket or sweatshirt at night); however, by the end of the week we were in sweaters and coats. You just never know what you are going to get that time of the year. It might be warm all week and you might be in shorts day and night; it might be cold all week and you might be in jackets or coats; or you might get a combination of the two.

The crowds aren't bad. WDW is wonderful during the Christmas season. We love it there that time of year.

As others have said, its really a coin flip. Some years the weather stays warm forever. In 09, I don't think I ever wore a sweatshirt until mid-December. So bundling wasn't an issue.

Crowds will be a little crazy on the first Saturday, but will drop on Sunday and drastically drop for the rest of your time.

We were there last year. Arrived the Monday after your Thanksgiving. It was a little cool but we are from Ontario, there was snow when we left home. We had hoodies on most mornings and evenings but afternoons were t-shirt weather. Crowds, we didn't find too bad, but we have always gone during July and August. Went to Mickey's Christmas party that week. Crowd wasn't bad just getting back to resort was a little bit of a wait due to the crowds. Decorations were perfect. Have to go back and see again as we didn't see them all. Hope this helps.
