We are going to Chicago in a couple weeks for spring break. The last time we were there the Lego Discovery Center was not open. Wondering what your opinion is of it. My boys are 13 and 10, and I have a 9 year old daughter.
I also used to see coupons for it alot in the lego magazines, but I now that I need them, I haven't seen them. Does anyone have any coupons we could use, or know where I could find some.
Any other suggestions for Chicago. On my children's list is the Museum of Science and Industry, American Girl Place and maybe the Art Institute. They saw the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum on the last visit and were not really interested in going back. I think they wanted to go up in the Sears Tower, since they did Hancock last time. Any specials on tickets for that?
Also, if anyone has recommendations about parking/driving I'd appreciate it. We are staying with friends in Wheaton. I thought we could take the train for the Michigan ave attractions, but don't know about public transportation to Science and Industry. Is there ample parking there? I seem to remember someone once posting about a free lot around there.
Finally, do they really dye the Chicago River green on St. Patrick's Day???
TIA!!
