Hello All! We are leaving two weeks from today and we are so excited!:jumping1:

Kids are 9, 11 and 13 and we are going to make them carry their own crap this time:laughing:

Other than string backpacks I am not seeing too much. So far the best I've found is jansport half pint, which would be great but there isn't much out there disney themed. I don't want some big bag, otherwise they could use their big school backpacks. I think they would carry water, snack, light coat, etc.

So my questions are: What bags do your kids use in the parks?

And do you know of any cute bags that aren't $50 each:lmao:?

I like the durability of the jansport and even though they are about $30 each I think they would get use and I am ok paying that money. But it seems like there should be more out there?

thanks again!!

I made the grandkids cinch bags to use in the parks.
They have worked just fine.

Search foldable backpacks on Amazon. I bought some for when my kids go skiing to hold water and snacks and they're awesome.

I found this one that I'm going to order for my 12yo to use this summer. I like that it is versatile enough to wear in front or in back.

My kids (12 and 13) have been using string cinch bags for a few years. They are lightweight and can fit a lot of stuff.

Check out TommyRose Lane Etsy store. We LOVE her bags. And she will work with you on colors and characters. They are personalized bags for 12.98. Don’t know how to post a pic. They are sling style back backs and hold a wAter bottle.they are the perfect size. Me,my husband, and son all have one.

How long is her shipping time? I love the sling style backpacks.

Just saw you were leaving so soon. Mine came fairly quick but if I were you I would message her on Etsy to see how long it would take first. Oops, guess you are not the op. Lol

My daughter bought a towel bag in the park last October. She really loves it. Good for trips to the pool as well.

Make sure the bags can fit in the pouches provided on the rides. Anything too big they have to make sure it doesn't go flying out of the ride if it isn't secure. Non-Disney themed ones can be used other places if you feel they wouldn't use it outside of Disney parks. Another option is cargo shorts lots of pockets to store things. These days the only thing my kids carry are their phones and sunglasses and cargo shorts work well.

The less bags the less time in the bag check lines

If my child enters with a backpack/purse/sweater/anything. It ends up in my backpack with in a few hours. And by my backpack i mean the husbands backpack.

My kids wore hip bags/waist packs/fanny packs. You can find some trendy ones right now. You would be surprised at the things you can fit into one...maybe not a water bottle, but a lot of other stuff.

We have these in both sizes. They have been all over DL, Washington DC, the zoo, Sea World, weekends at grandma’s, etc for over a year now and work awesome. I like that they are packable and can be stuffed into a suitcase to use later. They aren’t bulky and are so light, I never hear that they are tired of carrying them. The straps are very comfortable too. My kids are 10 and 13

The Half Pint is pretty small, more like a purse. It would not hold a jacket or sweater. I would go with cinch sacks for sure. Much easier to get off and on and hold more.

Thank you everyone! There were so many good ideas here, I never even thought of a sling bag! I also am worried we will still just carry stuff, but at least we can try:rotfl2:

Lol, I had my kids carry their own stuff too. I just bought the small size light weight (cheap) ones, no theme.

I agree with the locker. The small ones are $7, we bring extra water and stash in the locker, and drop off/pick up sweaters, water, etc during the day. We usually park hop and like the lockers on the DCA side of the plaza. That area is never busy and there is a bathroom right there too.

Edited - we bring water bc I don’t like tap water. I’ll drink it but I end up drinking much much less that way, which isn’t good. Others may not need to bring water, but the $7 a day is totally worth it for me to have a place to stash things instead of carrying it all around.
