Hi everyone! My husband and I are going to Universal in November for our 1st anniversary. I am interested in getting gift basket/champagne or something of the like sent to the room to surprise him when we first check in. We are staying at Cabana Bay and I've scoured the website and can't find anything like this. Is there a local business that I can arrange a delivery? I have found someone who does specifically Disney baskets but I am looking for something else. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Would contact the concierge. Just call the hotel and ask for the concierge. No matter what the hotel, these people can make it happen!

This thread is from 2 years ago.

There were a few posts before mine but were removed by a moderator, so I assume that person brought the thread back to life.

But maybe the info will help someone else then, because there's no date on useful information, that's always helpful, however old the original post was..........

Correct schumi!

When a thread has been edited by moderators, all what is left is what you see

HOLY, that stuff is expensive! Three cookies and milk for $15 and then you get to add a $3 delivery fee, 6.5% tax and a 22% service charge? Wow!! A banana, an orange, an apple and a strawberry for the same?? WOW! I'd walk to the food court and pay the $5 for the same items and walk back to my room. LOL.
Obviously someone orders these things but I say again......WOW!

Tinkerone
I don't order the hotel service on the gifts but have known of some that have

When I order room service for food after midnight the same gratuity and service fee/$22 is added on

But that has only happened twice on all my stays

I just looked on some past threads and saw an older one where peeps talked about those rpr site gifts

Most raved about how nice they were

Some were ordered by friends or family members to surprise the family that were staying onsite

I need to have family / friends like that!

I would agree with you on that.

We have ordered some of those things and some have been sent to us from the hotel and they have all been lovely. We view it as being on vacation, and being on vacation means treating ourselves to little things like that :)

We like to treat ourselves on vacation as well but paying $23 for three cookies and a glass of milk is nuts IMO. If we were both wanting cookies and milk before bed that's $46, totally insane. Again, JMO and not meant to offend anyone.

BTW I love your reviews, will you be doing one for your recent stay?

I'm never offended when someone calls me nuts... or insane......each to their own. Hear it all the time from folks who think it's crazy to spend 18 nights at RPR.......

The house champagne is quite decent too......

Trip report is up and running........

It's not insane
It is called being on vacation and enjoying things that you can have delivered to you anytime you want it

Me, I don't drink milk so would hope the bill would be adjusted..... Lol

Lol.......I do prefer champagne to milk I have to say.........

Champagne and cookies don't have the same ring to it..........we had champagne and strawberries delivered once or twice.........lush!

Now that I could go for! :-)

I believe that there are links in some of the hotel stickies to reference gifts a person can buy at the hotels

Sometimes people like to do surprises for a dear family member or friend
They order online through the onsite hotel site and prompt delivery is done

Using the online hotel service is always a delight for the guest staying onsite

Offsite shopping services can have glitches
Difficult to deal with a company if there are errors which I have read about

Best to use onsite hotel services as their business has no risks

I think we've had everything on that list delivered at one time or another. LOL. And I agree with Mac, it's vacation. My son loves to have things delivered and I love to spoil him. I agree with the suggestion to call concierge. The one at PB is amazing. I've had private dinners catered in our suite that were amazing. Bice did one anniversary dinner that was incredible. We had a birthday dinner for our son and they surprised and had Scooby help deliver it.
I know during the holidays they have special treats available. I've sent Halloween treats in the past.
