Hi everyone, I am very, very new to this site and am in the beggining stages of planning my Disney wedding. I live here in Orlando and met with a wedding planner this past week. My fiance and I toured the wedding pavillion and the three reception locales (Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Grand Floridian). The wp is wonderful but we were not blown away by the reception sites. We were then taken to the American Adventure's Rotunda at EPCOT and we just loved it. So I'm now starting my wish book and would really welcome any ideas, thoughts or concerns in regards to having the reception there at EPCOT.

Some helpful info:

Looking at - approx. 125 guests
Jan 08
ceremony - 5:00pm ON A Friday at WP
cocktail hour - American Adventure Rotunda (upstairs)
reception - American Adventure Rotunda

I'd greatly appreciate any advise

The rotunda is my absolute favorite place for a reception!! Just keep in mind that you will need to book a motor coach in order to transport your guests into the park. I believe there is also an extra sight fee and you will need to hire a disney host for every 50 guests. I don't believe there is a more beautiful location though and the extra cost is totally worth it!...congrats and good luck on your upcoming wedding!!

We did our reception at the AA as well...it was perfect

an idea is the illuminations cocktail hour at Italy instead of the parlor....makes the reception a bit late...but works the fireworks in nicely

Also....it is very recommended to hire someone to man the elevator to use the 3rd floor restroom (sounds silly but so worth it)...Esp. in a wedding dress...we were there last Friday and these poor guest kept having to use the public RR outside around the corner....

thanks for the tip- it wasn't even offered as a suggestion, but I must admit, making my guests go outside to use the restroom was a detractor-My fiancee and I have not yet decided to a DFTW, but we are SERIOUSLY considering it. When was your wedding? Perhaps, they don't allow that anymore.
