Looking for Advice on FP+ Strategy When Park-Hopping

Hi, all! My trip starts on February 22nd, and I'm looking for some advice on what strategy to use when park-hopping.

I think the main strategy I've seen is to save your FP+ for your second park, after you've hopped. I'm just not sure about the timing of everything. We're just not sure how long we'll be staying at our first park. I'm worried that if we end up making FP+ reservations at our second park too early, it might force us to leave the first park before we really want to -- or that we'll miss our FP+ if we decide to linger at the first park.

How flexible is FP+ in making changes? If, say, we decide to stay at MK because we're having a great time and decide not to hop that day after all, can we move our FP+ reservations to MK (if there's availability at MK later in the day)? Or are you stuck with what you choose originally?

Thanks in advance for the help. I'm excited about our trip, but miss the flexibility of doing things "on the fly". It's so hard to know what we're going to want to do five weeks from now!

The app provides the ability to change your FP's on the fly,

I can't say if you can move your FP's from one park to another on the same day because I never tried that. During our last trip, the connection and/or the app were so buggy that the best I could do was maybe reschedule one FP in the same session before getting a "Blip in the network" error. But they've updated the app since then and there have been positive reports of no issues using the app while in the parks.

But if you are having a good time in your first park and want to move your FP's for your second park for later in the day, you should be able to do that provided there is still FP availability.
