Looking for a Reliable Travel Agency with Disney Specialist?

Is there such a thing as a reliable travel agency that has a Disney specialist on staff in the Toronto area? I am the one that does all the plotting and scheming for our trips to the World but I am so overwhelmed by the response from my husband this morning to just "BOOK IT", I can't think straight. He wants to go in value season which is from Jan 1 to Feb 16, which doesn't leave a lot of time to plan as I am so busy at work and Christmas falls between now and then. He usually gives me more lead time. I think that he probably thinks that we can get a cheap flight because a couple of weeks ago I was quoting those $49.00 flights from Sunwing and I must have piqued his interest. Plus the Mousesavers site said that there were some blackout dates. The Disneyworld.ca site says that the package is available from Sunday to Thursday with some weekends available. So if anyone has had a positive experience after planning with a travel agency could you please let me know. Thanks.

As a past travel agent I can tell you I don't know what is happening in the industry. I am also going in January and last week had to book airfare. Normally I would do it online myself but because there were 8 of us and other reasons I thought I would try a travel agent. I called 3 different offices and was treated rudely and like I was an idiot. One told me the only way I could fly to Florida was if I went Sat-Sat I couldn't stay 10 days!

Finally I just cleared my head and did the work myself. For flights try www.selloffvacations.com they are a travel agency out of the GTA area. I found the best price with Kelowna (sunwing) through them and called to book it over the phone. Max to book online is 6. I book accomodations directly with disney using my AP. I will also arrange transfers myself.

Take a deep breath in can be done. Sorry, I don't personally know of any other agencys out of Toronto.

When I was planning our Oct 26-31 trip to Disney, I found
www.MouseEarVacations.com and they passed me to Pam Schuck pams@cruisingco.com. I had booked my own air from Toronto. She did all our booking for Disney - resort(PoP), tours, dinner reservations and when the price changed she also was able to get the price reduced. I did everything over the internet and she always replied right away. She also has a toll free number. Everything was sent express mail to me in Canada. Everything was done for me.

If you don't mind driving a bit, there is a place on Townline Road(south) in Cambridge called Florida Travel. I dealt with Marcie Martin. The whole agency deals with nothing but Florida. It is fun just to go there and see how it is decorated, you feel like you are at John's Pass or Indian Rocks Beach. Very cool! Also, they have every brochure you could ever imagine for every activity avaliable. It is because of them that I began flying out of Buffalo. If you tell them you want to do it cheap they wont dismiss you, they seemed to try to help me anyway.They also publish a magazine out of that office called Florida Travel. I think the website is floridatravelusa

Just make sure you keep on top of them though!

I have had pretty good luck with several Disney Specialists from CAA-they have worked on DCL and done terms in WDW.

Is there a reason you don't want to use an online agent? I have had really good luck with the lady I am using - competitor of DL so I won't post info but it's helped me alot, esp with the codes etc coming out now. I am taking care of the flight and tsfs myself, but she is booking everything "Disney". Just my two cents. Good luck.

Just as I thought, my husband wants to know where all the cheap flights have gone. When I explained that they got snapped up by people who recognized what a good deal they were and booked right away he looked hurt. Just the other night he lamented that there were two things he hated having to research and buy, one was tile for the bathroom and the other was buying a new car. I think I'll add buying a flight to his list.
