Looking for a notebook for DS. Does anyone know of any deals?

I'm going crazy trying to find one under $200 for DS. He really just needs one for viewing youtube videos. Can anyone help???

Do you want a notebook or a netbook? There is a difference in both price and features. You might find a netbook that's new in fact target has one on sale in stores right now http://www.target.com/Acer-Aspire-U...frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k:netbook&page=1 but finding a notebook will be really tough unless you go used.

ETA - while small a netbook is probably just what he needs if he is only looking at youtube or playing games.

I just read a news article about notebooks the other day and it said that most will die in 1 to 3 years.. I can't remember all the info, but Toshiba was listed as one of the best and HP was listed as one of the worst..

DS15 has specifically requested a notebook -- he wants to use Word and Excel for school.

I'm planning to camp out at Best Buy for this one:

It's scheduled to be $197 on Friday. They open at 5:00 a.m. and I think I may camp out early.

Walmart also has a doorbuster eMachines - 15.6" LCD display; 2GB memory; 160GB hard drive; Reads and writes CDs and DVDs for $198.
