Victoria & Albert's. We celebrated our 10th anniversary there in October and it was amazing. The best meal that we have ever had.

Congratulations!

V&A's is the obvious choice- if you can stomach the price tag.

After that there area several fairly high-end choices. California grill is a favourite of many and has some great sushi. I've been there twice and it's been great both times. On the other hand, while it's certainly a much nicer atmoshpere than most Disney restaurants you always run the risk of running into, well theme park guests. Not everyone sees the need to behave well at a nice restaurant. (Not that I've had a bad experience there. It's merely a possibility.)

Jiko is also a favourite, and one I'm really itching to try. If the raves are right and it's even better than my personal favourite - Boma right next door - then it's definitely something to consider. They're also supposed to have a very good wine selection.

Other places which get recommendations are Citrocos and Narcoosees. To my understanding they tend to be less crowded, but I would ask around. There are plenty of people on this forum with a broader experience at Disney restaurants than me.

DH and I went to Jiko for our anniversary last year and loved it. Great food and service. If you follow the link to my dining review in my signature you can read my review and see pics. JJ

Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, rear, upstairs)
. . . quiet
. . . few kids because no kids menus and folks won't pay the adult price
. . . pleasant waiters
. . . nice atmosphere
. . . different clientèle, as DDP not accepted
. . . nice selection of relatively authentic French cuisine

If not doing V&A, this is the only other place that I would consider upscale. It's even extra great if you can snag a window seat that overlooks the World Showcase.

We really like the California Grill - I've read that they have a smaller romm that you can request and it isn't supposed to be as "noisy".

I just think it's romantic to see the fireworks and hear the music - makes you know that you are in WDW instead of a nice restaurant at home.

I love California Grill and we have done it several times for special events, including our anniversary. Here is what I suggest though..

1) Go either way before the fireworks or 30 to 45 minutes after the fireworks. The restaurant is very romantic and quiet if you avoid the firework crowd.

2) If you happen to go during firework time get there early and request the wine room. We did this once and loved having the small private area to eat in. We did miss the great view though!

Maybe it was just an off night, but Bistro de Paris seemed to have gone downhill at my last visit not too long ago. It is quite romantic, though. The problem you can run into at many places is that the dining plan moves more kids into certain restaurants that would have been there in the past. For example, my last meal at Artist Point was fine in terms of food, but less so for atmosphere because of the children literally racing around the restaurant. I've got nothing against kids (I'm a pediatrician, after all), but I wish parents would exercise a bit of judgment as to whether their kids are able to behave appropriately at the restaurant they choose. OK, rant over.
One other idea to consider is one of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants. My favorite is Shula's, which has great steaks, very few kids, and at least from the standpoint of low lighting might be considered romantic.

Love California Grill and Boma's very romantic. Even gave sushi a try at CG, excellent. We also loved the flying fish cafe at Boardwalk.
