Don't forget the KrispyKreme on 192 just across from the "Big Orange"...this location makes the donuts right before your eyes! Okokokokok...not for dinner, but not to be missed if you're a KK fan!
There's a Publix grocery store on the corner of 192 (also known as Irlo Bronson Hwy) and 535 (also known as Vineland Road). In order to get to it coming from your lodgings on 192, go east, staying in the left hand lanes for about (2-3?) miles. Be sure to turn left on Vineland, staying in the right lane of the 2 left turn lanes...then drive into the shopping area at the first opportunity...it's an unmarked entrance, but don't worry if you miss it you just turn right at the stoplight you're coming up to anyway.

You'll see what I mean when you do it once...when you wish to leave going back west on 192, you can get out directly onto 192 (look for it after you've shopped). This entrance can only be accessed coming from the east heading west...lol...I'm not expecting you to remember this, just giving you a heads up ahead of time in case you're planning on using a grocery store. This Publix has excellent, reasonably priced, family-style to go chicken as well as many other things. Our favorite is a whole key lime pie for about $7.50.
To get to the SuperWalmart, go east on 192, past the Big Orange (on your left), past Vineland Road and the Publix (on your left) and past Medieval Times (on your right). Then you'll see it...there's a shortcut to your right just barely past Medieval Times, but it's easy to miss and it's almost a hairpin turn so you might want to just go on up to the light your first time. Also, you cannot use this shortcut to exit from
Walmart. For that, you will definitely want to "go towards the light"! LOL...this Walmart is exceptionally busy even in the middle of the night so be prepared.
There's a Perkins and a Chile's on the right on 192 going east from your lodgings...about 2 miles I'm guessing...the Chile's is close to KrispyKreme and a Crackerbarrel.
If you've never had Checkers fries, you might want to try them. There's a Checkers drive-thru or eat outside right at the entrance to Old Town...and Old Town is neat anyway. They have Classic Car Cruises at least once a week there and lots of other things/rides and places to eat too.
If you check the Online Orlando Entertainment Book there are 2-for-1 dinners...one for a lobster dinner on 192 (at least there was in January)...you can check it all out even before you buy the online book. I bought it for one month's worth, paid 3.99 used tons of coupons and then cancelled it. They don't mind if you do this. I checked. We buy one month subscriptions to the Entertainment Book wherever we go. It's a great way to save some $$$ If you're going to DTD, there's a 2 for 1 Ghiradelli's (sp) hot fudge sundae. LOL You can tell where my mind is...I like desserts!
If you use this, make sure you order the online subscription just before you go since they are only good for 14 days from when you print them out.
Have a wonderful trip!
