Hello I was wondering where you think we could have a good CS meal. Now we are doing this on our arrival day and my husband and I just want some alone time and to just go anywhere on Disney property, we are gona put the kids and the grandmas to nap cause our flight is an early one and me and the hubby wanna just go eat anywhere. We arent looking a sit down meal cause we will be eating at Ohana's that night so we just want some good CS any suggestions?

There are plenty of good CS places. Are you wanting to use a ticket to get into a park? Are you wanting a resort CS??

A bit more info would help us to give you some options.

I think the best CS on property is located at the Pop Century Resort. That's where I'd pick. The previous poster is right though, more info would help. Are you going to a park that day?

The best for taste (and your money$$$$$) is Cosmic Rays at MK. You can get their rib and chicken meal on the cs meal plan. It is a quick walk from the entrance to mk.

We are actually staying at Pop Century and yes we can use a park ticket that day, we are up for anything, we have nothing holding us back anywhere at all will work I just wanted to see what CS people thought was worth traveling too. This is basically an afternoon for just me and the hubby to go eat alone and somewhere good, wether it be a park or a resort. Oh as long as it is on Disney property, I dont wanna leave Disney.

Ok, since you are staying at POP there isn't a better CS place at any other resort, so that is where I would recommend.
They have plenty of variety. Love the parm chicken and the meatball sub...oh yeah that sub is fantastic.

I am not as familar with the CS at other resorts well enough to recommend them, but you can go on the website here and look at all the resort menus. That may give you an idea.

But if it was me and staying at POP (that is where we stay) then I would eat there, shop in the gift store (again one of the best on property) and walk the grounds...maybe swim. Or definitely have a Pina Colava at the pool bar!! Mmmm mmmmm

The CS at POR is really good and has a lot of variety, then you and your DH could take a nice relaxing boat ride to DTD to walk around a bit before heading back to meet up with your kids and the Grandmas :thumbsup2

Since you stated you are able to use a park ticket I would recommend Tangierine Cafe in Morocco; the Shawarma Platters are better than many of the TS restaurants in WDW. Once you are done eating you can take a nice relaxing stroll around the world showcase without the kids. Also, Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavillion at Epcot is also very good. :thumbsup2

My favorite counter service restaurant on property is Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney. It's table service-quality food with the convenience and ease of counter service. And your meals are brought to your table by a waiter after you order at a register!

I agree with above poster....DTD has some awesome CS places.
Wolfgang Puck's Express is wonderful. We eat there at least once, sometimes twice. And there is also Earl of Sandwich.

I did some looking at resorts I have heard alot about and Mara at AKL I would go to. Have heard great things about them, didn't know where it was though. So you could head out there and look at the animals if you like that.

I totally agree with this! Both would be great!!:goodvibes

We enjoyed Liberty Tree Inn at EPCOT. We like simple things---bbq sandwiches & hot dogs. We also did Contempo Cafe, Pizza Planet at DHS, Cookes of Dublin at DTD.

I do believe you meant at the MK; it's also a ts and not a cs restaurant. However, I agree with you, I enjoy Liberty Tree. :thumbsup2

I'll bet the poster meant the Liberty Inn, it is the name of the CS location in the American pavillion in Epcot.:thumbsup2

I agree with this. Cosmic Ray's is one of our favorites. Love the toppings bar and love sitting outside and looking at the castle :goodvibes

If you decide to do CS at a resort try either the Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge or Artist's Palate at Saratoga Springs Resort.

If this is the case, I will have to respectfully disagree that this is good CS food. I've always felt that America should be better represented than with burgers and hotdogs. :worried:

I do stand to be corrected, I was having one of those blond moments (yes guys have them too). :rotfl2:

The DTD CS's are wonderful...never been to POP but it looks great and is RIGHT there!! One of my favs is Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot!
