Looking for a close beach near Kissimmee....

we're going to Disney next June and I was thinking about taking a day trip to the ocean. I think the kids would love it

Can anyone recommend a good, clean beach nearby? I'd love to have boat and/or jet ski rental too (or am I asking for too much?)

not sure how close you'd like it since Kissimmee is in Central Florida. We are 45 min or so away from Cocoa and about an hour, give or take, to Daytona on the east side. To the west there is the Tampa/St Pete area about an hour as well.

I would think Cocoa would be your best bet. Be sure to hit Ron Jon's there.

How about water sports? Is one beach better than another? Are there any good sites to research that ahead of time so we know what's available where?

Daytona is the party beach. You can drive on it and park right there. It has all kinds of rentals. Try google for websites. I don't know of any off hand sorry
