I am looking for a non-disney, 3 bdr condo in a hotel-type resort that has a front desk. I am not interested in a condo in a resort developement community. It is sometimes hard to tell the difference from just looking on the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I can recommend Embassy Vacation Resort at Grand Beach.. they have 3 bed condos..
its pretty small and only a few minutes from Disney. The apartments are roomy and we have stayed there a few times (not for a couple of years though).
We have managed to get the condo for $139 a night which is a great price for 3 bedrooms!

I think that Cypress Point some of them also have 3 bedrooms.

Many of the resorts can do you a 3 bed by using lockoffs... but the Embassy one is just an apartment with 3 bedrooms.

Hope that helps!

OOOOOO, Janica, see that you are a newbie.

Have not stayed at this particular resort, but have been doing research for an August trip. Floridays is an actual condo hotel. It is just opening this month. They have 3 bedroom units.

Another place that MIGHT be what you're looking for is Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. It, too, is new, though it might have some reviews on TripAdvisor. It, too, have 3 bedrooms.

There's something called Blue Heron Beach Resort, which, again, I believe is a true condo hotel, and new. Not sure of the bedroom count on it.

This condo hotel concept is new to me, but it appears to growing in appeal. From what I understand, you would purchase a unit as an apartment... $300K+. Though it is your property, I read somewhere that, at least for the ones in Orlando, you can't live there 365 days a year. Don't know if it would have to be rented for a week or a month or a whatever.

Anyway, sure there is someone out there who can provide some more information and help on particular facilities.

BTW, WELCOME TO THE DIS. pixiedust:

We've stayed at the Mariott Grand Vista in a 3 bedroom. It is very roomy. It has a full kitchen, snack bar, table with 6 chairs, living room, master suite with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The other two bedrooms have their own bathrooms. There's a washer and dryer in the unit too. It has two pools and lots of activities. It was very quiet and safe--there's a gate at the entrance. We loved it and we're going back in Sept.
