Just when I gave up thinking I even buy 2 way family Radios,There they were for $39.99!! Everywhere else I had looked they were $59.

So,far they seem to work okay! Better than the Cobra cheapo ones I got with no privacy codes, they were nightmare!!

$39.99 is an excellant price for the disney radios....we paid 59.99 for our....We have a number of the motorla radios with sub channels and have used them for years....We always take them to the park...

Thanks so much for your post!! Was this online or at the store?? I looked online and they were still 59.99 I have a $50 gift card I need to use and the $39.99 would be great!!

thanks!

i got a pair saturday, i think that was the last day of the sale.
sorry! :(

Ugh! Thanks for the heads up anyways--maybe I can catch them on sale again soon.

Thanks again!

Saturday must have been the last day of sale because we were in there Sunday and they were back to 59, so we bought the motorolas with the sub channels for 49.99 w/ a $10 mail in rebate, not disney but we like them anyways, and they are smaller so they don't take up too much room.

I just called over at best buy at 5 o clock and he said they were still on sale and would be tomorrow. He wasn't very friendly. I wonder if he was wrong (didn't take the sale sign down or something). I will look at the other motorolas too. Thanks everyone and have a wonderful new years day tomorrow.

4) Motorola and others have only 1/2-watt to 1-watt strength.

Also included with the micro-talk
... "telephone ringer" as well as walkie-talkie mode.
... built-in compass
... stop watch
... up to 5-mile range, not just 2-miles
... vox (button-free talking)
... internal or external speaker and microphone jacks
... weather channels

Mr. Rusty:

Where did you find those Cobras for $59 plus the rebate? I just checked them out on eBay and some weirdos are paying twice that!!!

Thanks for the info...great thread, now I've just got to convince the dh!!

Firecracker-
I dont know if you have Best Buy back east or not, but they had one similar to the cobra (a motorolla) WITHOUT the compass, clock
and stopwatch WITH the 5 mile range and other features for $49.99 and a $10 mail in rebate. But I would think that the cobra is a better brand--it's what my bil uses at work. I understand, though, that with anything with a 5 mile range you are supposed to have a radio license ($70 a year). After reading that online, I asked the guy at Best Buy and he said that it was true although there is really no way for them to know what kind of radio you have. I decided to stick with the 2 mile range instead for myself. Please correct me if I am wrong if anyone knows otherwise about the 5 mile radios.

I should have bought some on saturday.
I had them in my hand but decided to try to find them on sunday when we would be getting more than one thing. I never saw a sale sign just the priced marked at $39.99.
As you have probably figured out by now when I went to get them sunday they were $59. I put them back. I hope the sale price returns soon. I will just have to keep checking best buy.
