whew....I'm glad you have a plan sort of in place to handle all the checking in and out fiasco! It seems sort of confusing but I still think you did the right thing by switching to this resort. Don't have buyers remorse. I would like to try all the resorts because they all seem so different that it would be fun!

Well, that's the main reason we are OK with it...we like the idea of trying a new resort. While ideally I'd like to try them all someday...it's unlikely we could ever afford to stay at some of them. We've talked about it, and said the only way we stay nicer is if we don't do the TS restaurants...and in the contest between eating well and staying well, eating well wins every time for us!

And don't worry, by the time we get there, I will be OK with the choice unless we have some horrific experience which is totally unlikely.

Wow - lots of changes!! But I think you will like CBR. Even if you don't love it, I can't imagine that you'd hate it and you'll get to experience a new resort in the process. The pool is really fun - that's the one moderate we've stayed at & the boys loved the pools. All the checking in & checking out sounds a bit nightmarish but I'll send pixie dust that you don't actually have to do much moving.

And the best news of all is that it's October!!! We're going to Disney next month!!!

Nice to hear from someone whose stayed there. Really we are looking forward to the resort, just not the room swapping. Can't believe there are zero empty rooms on 11/10. Yet still Free dining available from the 12throom forward. Weird.

So, first off:

Here's DD countdown character as of yesterday!

And coming home yesterday...we received:
MICKEY MAIL, MICKEY MAIL, MICKEY MAIL!

Yup, that's right - THREE sets of Mickey Mail. One for each of the three reservations! Including three sets of luggage tags. That's a new one.

Since we need two sets of yellow luggage tags, I called ME to see if I could use one of the sets from the subsequent days (The actuall arrival date (Nov 10) and the next day (Nov 11).) They actually said no, they would send me out an extra set.

But, the Mickey Mail iteslf - AWESOME!

It's hard to believe its actually here already!

Two years can seem like a LONG time. I'm excited for you that you get to return.

We just got together with some friends that were on their honeymoon at Disney when we had our first trip with DD. They were talking about their 5th anniversary coming up next week, and I was thinking how we are on our SEVENTH trip since then. We have been very, very fortunate to be able to go as often as we have. I do feel so blessed by this. (I feel especially lucky that I get to bring my mother...since it was HER mother (my grandmother) that first took ME to DisneyWorld - letting her go with HER granddaughter makes it feel like the circle is complete. (I'm getting all Rafiki here!)

Hey princess! It does really make it SOLID. That's it, we ARE going and soon. The ME has become such a part of the trip, that transition from "Real World" to "Disney World" I think I would really miss it if we didn't do it.

Also for you Princess: We just booked our Frequent Flier flight to Australia for next summer. (To all others, watch for PTR on THAT one coming soon - because there IS a Disney component as well!) Leave LA July 24th (arrive on the 26th), leave Sydney August 16th, so a solid 3 weeks in country. I'm holding off on the two paid tickets as the prices are very high right now and I'm hoping it will drop once peak Aussie travel season is over.

Oh, and for me today is also an exciting day. The start of the NHL Buffalo Sabres season. Their playing a game today (tonight?) in Helsinki Finland, so the puck drops in 2.5 hours @ 1 PM local time! An exciting weekend of sports is ahead, they are having a big outdoor party at our hockey arena to celebrate the games in Europe, with a "Pucktoberfest" party followed by tomorrow's game in Berlin, Germany being broadcast on the HD screen. Sunday we're heading to the Bills game with Club level seats to watch the Bills take on the Philidelphia Eagles. The weather is supposed to be blow you away fantastic all weekend (mid-seventies and sunny). I love this time of year in Western New York!

Yup, that's right...MORE CHANGES.

I was watching the GP discount and room availabilty, and a PREFERRED ROOM came open for our FIRST night. So I went on and changed from a PIRATE room that first night to a PREFERRED room.

It actually cost an additional $6 because the discount was a smaller %, but I don't care. I am real concerned about the inconvenience of going to the front desk at CBR. Having a preferred room and being more central at the resort will allow us much easier access to the food court and all that first morning, and will hopefully make things smoother.

Anyways, a minor change both in plan and cost, but one I really like.

Now if ONLY a standard room would open up on the 10th!

FF flight is actually on Delta. Hopefully we will see something lower after the first of the year. I think I have the free flights on Southwest to get from here to LA for free anyways...so I'd be happy even if I could get something in the neighborhood of $1500 each for the RT tickets LA ->SYD.
