Hi everyone, first time Disneyland trip coming up and watching videos of the Spring Break crowds. Many of the Quick Sevice places have lines coming out the doors such as bangle barbecue and Tiana‘s. My question is are these lines for walk ups/standby, can’t all of this be avoided if you mobile order? Or are the long lines just for people who are not mobile ordering. Also, what would be your recommendation for avoiding the long QS lines, do we secure a return window early in the morning for lunch? Thanks so much for your help!

There are long lines for quick service during the most popular meal times. Mobile ordering can help, but the return time might be too far out. I often look at Jolly Holiday and the soonest return time is hours out. In that case, waiting in the very long line is quicker. I don't know if ordering lunch at breakfast time works. It seems like it should work, but some people had problems with it a while ago. It's potentially fixed now. Another thing that happens sometimes with mobile order is that when you click, "I'm here prepare my order," it might still take quite a while before they prepare it.

Bengal Barbeque has developed a cult following. There used to be little to no line. Now it seems that there is always a line.

The last time I ate at Tiana's, there was a CM keeping people outside to limit the number of people inside. As a result, the line looked longer than it was. Tiana's mobile order is served in plastic togo containers. If you go through the line, your food is served on a plate. Personally, I think it is a nicer experience to eat on a plate.

If you know what and when you want to eat, mobile order as soon as the restaurant opens.

Mobile ordering can definitely help, but during busy times of year, you're likely to encounter longer wait even for mobile order pickups. While it's rare, I've had a couple of occasions during holiday seasons where I checked in to pick up a mobile order and have had to wait 15-20 minutes before it was ready.

Been to DLR multiple times during spring break, and going next week, and my advice would be to order during off peak times. Order earlier than you may normally would and it can help beat the rush.

Always try to modify your mobile order pick up time
You can keep refreshing the screen, over and over. And don’t give up because almost always suddenly a ‘Now’ time will appear as an option.
I had no idea that was a thing. Usually when I pick a time, I get a message that the time is no longer available and it'll push it out by 30 minutes or more. I'll have to try refreshing several times.

Mobile order helps a lot, it's just that you have to order early for a later time slot, not wait until you are hungry! We often head to our first line of the day, and while we are waiting, I pass my phone around and everyone orders!! Easy Peasy!

It’s easiest to submit the order for the far-away time and then keep toggling “modify” until you get an earlier time.

In particular we use this for Jolly Holiday a lot. We like their breakfast so we’ll put in our order on the tram even if it’s hours away, and then just keep modifying. We pretty much always end up with it being ready by the time we actually walk down Main Street.

One thing to note is that if you mobile order something popular with a late pick-up time, they don’t save it for you. They’ll just cancel your order if they run out. So if you really want the latest seasonal Jolly Holiday treat, don’t put in an 8pm pick-up and think it will be waiting for you on your way out. They’ll just cancel.

I always thought they saved? That’s good to know!
