Any recommendations for long term parking at Indy? Is park ride and fly any good? I have used then at midway.

Don't know how close you are to Indy. We're about 120 miles away (less than 20 minutes away from Cincinnati airport, however airfare out of CVG can be outrageous).

We took advantage of the Days Inn Park, Sleep and Fly. We stayed at the Days Inn, and left the car there for a week. Their free shuttle took us to the airport. I think it was about the same price, or maybe a little more than to just park at long term parking. And it was probably $400 cheaper than flying out of CVG.

Might not be worth it if you're in metro Indy. But it was worth it to us.

We usually stay and Hyatt Place and use the free parking there after spending the night before our flight.

We have used ACE parking in the past....years ago. I don't know cost but they had shuttle and we had no issues.

The Indy Park and Fly will only save you only .50 cents a day over the airport rate. I have parked several times at the Indy airport and have to say I have never had any issues, nor heard of any bad things ( other than the cost! ) . For the extra .50 a day I would just park at the airport.

I second the Park, sleep and fly! We used that last summer on our trip to Hawai'i - it was so simple, and worked out to be a bit cheaper (for us) than paying for the LT parking at the airport. Of course, we were gone for about 11 days - so your mileage may vary but if you can get a good rate at the hotel, then you might want to check out that option.

Ever since IND put in the new midfield terminal, Park Ride Fly has become less important for us. The cost savings are offset by the drive time costs. Park Ride Fly moved and are no longer close to the parking at the airport terminal, at least the drive feels longer.

Plus, like a previous poster stated, you only save about .50 over long term parking. The lots inside the airport are plenty big, and more convenient now. I would just pay for either economy (less than Park Ride Fly IIRC) or pony up the extra .50/day for long term parking.

Of course, it all depends on where you are coming from. I drive in from the NE side of Indy, so given the locations of everything, it's easier and faster for me to drive straight into the airport parking.

I just parked at IND this morning. I know I should save some money and park in long term or economy lot but the garage is just too convenient. No waiting for shuttles and the car is out of the weather. It's $6 more per day than long term but (probably) worth it.

We always used the economy lot at the airport when we lived there. Easy to get to the airport, on a shuttle and to check in. Good luck!

We use park ride and fly at Indy because our employer (a large pharmaceutical manufacturer) offers a 50% discount at that lot. We only live about 30 minutes from the airport, though. I think the lot is closer now than it was previously (there were two lots before they opened the new terminal. The new lot is closer to the new terminal than the old lot was, and the new lot is closer to the new terminal than the old lot was to the old terminal. But, we come from south of Indianapolis. When we were on vacation for 10 days, our cost was about $50. You can only pay by credit card, they don't accept cash (which new the past year or so).

I just booked Mircotel at Indy Airport- about 10-15 minute shuttle ride. We stayed there once before- no frills but a nice place. Normally like the Hyatt Place- huge price difference though. Need to leave car 7 days----Hyatt Place $160 including tax. Microtel $80.XX including taxes.

For half the price with a decent bed and breakfast and shuttle Microtel will work just fine. This isn't until July so I will keep watching prices because I can cancel the Microtel but thought a good price since it is and early morning flight.

When are you going in July? I will be at POR July 10-16 with days before at the darkside..

I will be bypassing any Indy airport lots and driving, I am not looking forward to it..

Hi neighbor! Southside here, too!

IndyDenise-

I live north of Indy---30 minutes north. We are actually flying down to St. Thomas in mid-July! Change of pace from Disney!
