Long park days - teva pretty rugged leather?

Anybody have the Teva Pretty Rugged Leathers? How are they for long park days? I see there is a Rugged 1 and a Rugged 2 and they look different - yikes? So if I get a pair (should I get 1 or 2? I have short fat feet), will I need a breaking in period before they feel good in the World? I leave in 3 weeks. Also, how does the skin on the bottoms of your feet feel after wearing them all day long in the heat, humidity, etc? I got Chacos for my trip last year, broke them in, and ended up with raw red bottoms of my feet because of a pattern on the rubbery sole if I wore them half a day.

I'm taking crocs and my old worn broken-in tennies but really want to take a nicer looking pair of sandals.

I'm not sure if mine were pretty rugged or not but they did have a leather footbed. Towards the end of some pretty long days they felt a little sticky but overall I'd say my Teva's allow me to last much longer than I would otherwise!

I swear by my Teva Pretty Ruggeds, but I don't know if I have 1 or 2. They've been to WDW 5 times, and I have never had an issue. Comfort all day long. The bottoms of my feet felt great. I love them. I also have a pair of Keen Newport H2 that are as good. I love them too. I switch between my Tevas and my Keens. I've never worn Crocs, can't get past the ugliness of them (and I live near Boulder!)

Also, I didn't need much time to break either pair in, just walk and wear. Good luck.!

I love my pretty rugged leathers. I just got a pair of the originals on clearance. I think the 2's just came out this year. They are slightly more padded on the bottom and have slightly more arch support. My feet get so hot I wear mine almost year 'round. I've had my current ones for almost 5 years (last trip to WDW) and am just now needing another pair. The footbed does get a little damp if you wear them all day; sometimes it's a good idea to have another pair of something you can switch off the next day if you've done a lot of walking. I have plantar fasciitis and can wear these all day with no pain even without my orthotics.

You said you have short, fat feet. The PRL Tevas should be great. These seem to run a little long, so if you are a half size, you may want to order the next smaller whole size. But after saying that, I usually wear a 10 and I have a size 10 PRL. There is lots of room for adjustment in the velcro straps. I haven't adjusted the front one since I got it set the day I got them. The ankle strap is adjusted every time I put them on and take them off.
