Due to some juggling of flights, we had to change our August vacation days which meant I had to redo some of our dining choices.

Our plane lands at 12:30 on a Thursday. I figured by the time we get settled, we could be looking at 3 pm -- or maybe even later. Since we are staying at the Yacht Club, I think we might just opt to skip the park that day altogether and just go to SAB. I was also thinking we might just get a bite to eat at Beaches and Cream. However, we are on the deluxe plan so part of me thinks we should schedule a signature for that evening (perhaps Yachtsman?).

Then on Friday, we are planning to go to DHS. There aren't any breakfast options that interest us so I was thinking of just having an early lunch. The options there don't get such favorable reviews, but I was thinking of Sci Fi or 50s Prime Time. (We've eaten at Brown Derby and I didn't care for it.) We are scheduled to eat at Mama Melrose later in the week as part the Fantasmic Dining Package so I wanted to try something different. Which HS eatery is the best?

Our last park is also a Thursday. I was planning on MK for that day. I had booked CP for an 8:05 breakfast, but just saw that they have EMH on that day. Would we be better off with a later breakfast? Right now 10:20 is available. How does that work with breakfast technically ending at 10:30?

The first day, I would probably book a dinner at Yatchsman since oyu don't think you will be going any where.

DHS, I haven't tried many restaurants there other H&V and although my girls had lots of fun and the food was not as bad as I thought, I wouldn't eat there again unless my girls would like to go again. I would probably give 50 prime time a try. Apparently the food is good.

MK, I would eat breakfast a bit later. The first hour to hour half is the best you can have at the park as it's less busy. If you grab a 10am reservation, you will have time to do some attractions in the morning before breakfast and still have yummy breakfast there.

You're right there next to Epcot. I would go into Epcot for dinner and then stay for IllumiNations. You could also do Yachtsman's, Flying Fish or Cape May if you're not up to going into Epcot.

As for Crystal Palace, I prefer a late morning seating for breakfast. They will bring out the lunch items part way through your meal and you get kind of a brunch.

OK, booked Yachtsman and changed Crystal Palace to 10:20. I kept the Sci Fi meal booked because DH thinks DS will like it better than 50s PTC, but we're also going to look over both menus again.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything at DHS food-wise. It's a fun park but has the worst food. I wouldn't give any restaurant there above a 5 out of 10 rating. Mama Melrose is the one we usually go with because it's safe. Sci-Fi is gross and 50's is just an awkward meal since I don't like my waiter scolding me for not eating the worlds most flavorless vegetables.

I would recommend eating a quick service meal at your hotel for breakfast, eating a quick service lunch at Hollywood Studios and then splurging on a bigger dinner elsewhere. Maybe have a bigger dinner the night before too. I just don't think 50's or Sci-Fi are any better than any of the counter service meals especially when they cost so much more and take up valuable park time.

We really enjoy 50's for lunch. We have done it several times. I love the Fried Chicken and DH loves the Pot Roast.
Good Luck

I missed the section about eating at DHS. I think the food is lousy at both, but I prefer the SciFi for the theme. Stick with the burgers and onion rings and you'll be fine. Avoid the ribs at all costs!

I have to point out that we went in Aug a few years back and had a lunch ressie for Sci Fi. It was great to spend an hour in the cool AC and the restaurant theming is a bit dark. Great downtime after spending hours in the blazing hot sunshine. There were TONS of people walking in without ressies being turned away. Stick to burgers, onion rings and milkshakes. (it's not signature dining here!) My family asks to go back every time!!
