Long Beach (LGB) vs Orange County (SNA) Airports and Jet Blue?

They do not have DVD players in each seat - they have Direct TV. I'm sure you'll all be able to find something to watch, but I didn't want you to show up with your DVD library in hand, expecting to watch them.

OH! I must have read that wrong. Thanks for the clarification. Kids would have been really disappointed if they brought their fav movies and couldn't watch them. lol

I have flown into bot OC and Long beach and love Long Beach. It is small, not much in food options, but really easy to get in and out of. Easy to get to DL. We rented a car on price line, but recently Costco is cheaper. I always prefer LGB.

Thanks everyone for all of your comments and tips, especially about the rental car! Does anyone know which company you can pick up at the Long Beach airport and return somewhere close to Disney? I was thinking we might drive out to Legoland on our first day and maybe stay overnight there but I don't want to have to return the car back at the Long Beach airport afterward.

Actually, the rental car parking lot is right outside the airport entrance (the airport is that small), and literally a couple minutes from the terminal counters. Even the taxi and pickup area is a few yards further away.

When you return, it also literally takes a couple of minutes.

So, getting picked up and dropped off may even be more expensive and more difficult. Though you need to account for parking at the hotel as well.

Do you have a costco card? We flew into Long Beach in May, and booked a car thru costco. It was so much cheaper than booking directly the the car companies.

What is the price per day through Costco generally? We usually just spend the $55 one-way to get shuttled to Disneyland.
