SO ill be in the world, during one of the most busy times of year - Spring Break, the week before Easter. I have booked some great dining already, and have had good luck with my choices. There was one that I recently thought of trying to book, and did't look at the beginning of the window for reservations- BOG. Now I know this is a crazy hard reservation to get, especially during a busy time of the year, but do you think there would be any possibility I could somehow get a reservation? I'm thinking if someone cancels? I will not be upset either way it I can't get it, I know BOG is hard to get. But I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had luck booking a reservation after the 180 days has passed.

Thanks so much DISers!:)

Keep looking. Our first trip was in November 2010, and I booked in September, fairly spur of the moment. Sometime in mid-October, I was goofing around with the ADR system and managed to score a CRT for 4 people the Saturday before Thanksgiving! Especially with the busy weeks, I think a lot of people book 180 days out, even before they (or their spouses!) have talked about going.

I now expect to see some of the post popular ADRs pop up 2-6 weeks ahead of the date, because people book and hoard...

Good luck!

Keep trying...especially around the 45/50 days out when people have to cancel their entire reservation.....and then again about a week before when people are doing final decisions on their dining plans and cancelling what they don't want so they avoid the fee.

We were able to get a BOG dinner at 3 days away....now it wasn't a major crowd time, but people are constantly changing their reservations all year long. Sadly some people make multiple reservations for the places they know they want to eat at but haven't made their plans for when...so they make several and then closer to the time they make their park day plans and choose which to keep.

The trick is to check often.....I was doing it idly whenever I was on the phone with something....thankfully I was on the phone with a dear friend who understood how much we wanted to go to BOG when I actually came up with it.....I shrieked in her ear, lol. This could have been a bit embarassing on a business call, lol.

Keep a lunch at BOG in mind if you can't get an ADR for dinner. CM told me to get in line about 9:30-10am and small parties tend to move through the line pretty quick. We are lucky to have a special ADR for lunch on our Christmas trip (random email invite with resort reservation) and sooooo excited. We all want to see the castle rooms and meet the Beast:goodvibes

Unless things have changed since we were there, the beast is not available at lunch. You will be able to see all the rooms though. We really enjoyed that and our lunch of braised pork was delicious. :)

Definitely keep trying. I didn't go during a super busy time, but it was free dining so a fairly busy ADR time, and I managed to get a BOG on a party night way past the 180 days.

Join the cancellation board for the month of your trip and just watch that and keep trying.

Good luck!

Multiple years back, I was able to score a BOG ADR via the cancellation thread on these DisBoards. Two years later, I was able to return the favor. Check out that thread, and keep your fingers crossed!
