Loews is pet-friendly, but do they have any pet-free rooms?

We were just at Portofino Bay. I know it is pet friendly. My son has an allergy to dogs and cats. When we were in the parks he was fine, but once in the room he started coughing and his sinuses filled up pretty quick.

We wondered whether or not the room was not completely free of dust and dander, perhaps from previous guests who had a pet staying with them. All and all he was fine. We loved the hotel, but we wonder if there are any rooms at the Loew's hotels at Universal Orlando that are completely pet-free? I know that even with the best clearning it is hard to completely get rid of pet dander.

The dog rooms are certain rooms (at RPR it's a certain tower); they don't allow them in ALL rooms.

I think Portofino Bay's pet rooms are East Wing garden view.

pets are allowed at rph on floors #1 and #2 in Tower 2.

generally, the same is applied to the other 2 hotels for the two lower floors in specific sections of the buildings.

Next time you go, make sure you tell them that there are pet allergies in your family just to make sure you don't get put anywhere near the pet rooms.

2nd this.We did this and they gave us a pet-free room

I always make a room request for a non-pet room and they also put us as far away as possible. Never been a problem but you do need to at least fax in the request a week before you go.

FYI, in case you're interested in Universal's new Cabana Bay Resort, it does not allow pets.

We just recently returned from a trip to RPR and when I heard about the pet sections I called a requested we NOT be put in the pet section. I do find Florida weather leads to frequent mold issues. Maybe it was something else bothering him. My DS's seasonal pollen allergies seem to act up too when we are in Florida. It may be winter where we live, but there are lots of blooming in Florida year round.

Yup!! I have pet allergies and it's noted on my reservation. They are great with allergies. I request a deep clean and they do a wonderful job!
