Loews First Changes

I have called Loews First Cust. Sve., Be a Star and Loews Reservations. They all are hush about changes and have been told to say that all members will be informed about changes that happen June 1st.

FeeFee I was told the 0 upgrade for suites will go into affect for platuim members which i'm now at that level on June 1. It will stay 35 for gold memeber. Now she did'nt go into any other benefits with me and i did'nt ask i was proud to hear that. This was the lowes memeber number not the hotels or u escape #. I was calling to see what my status was and asked about the change for plat memebers on the suite cost.

Since I'm Plat Lowes, and will be at PBR in Dec, this is great news! Did you know once Lowes makes you Plat, it is for life! I tried to tell the CSR that it can't be! She said it's for life! Happy day!

Would anyone know if your lowes plat does that automaticly give you plat or similar status say at starwood, marriott ect? I have read before some places match your status with there cards but i can't remember who does it.

Starwood wouldn't match my Loews Platinum; neither would Hilton (this was just within the last month).

Is this a new policy with Starwood NOT matching Plat Loews? I thought they did match other hotel chains Plat. status?

It must be a new policy because I remember you replying to one of my posts a couple of months ago that Starwood would match Loews. I faxed them my request to match my Loews Platinum level and they sent me a letter stating that the only other programs they would look at matching are Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott programs.

Thanks for the update on Starwood matching Plat. Not what I wanted to hear but at least I have the facts straight now!
