I know that it's hit or miss with whether or not you receive any Loews First Perks with a non-qualifying stay, but can you still use the fitness room for free? What about late check-out if available? Thanks

You can use the fitness room. I was once denied late check out at HRH since my rate didnt qualify. Other times it was allowed. I guess it depends on whom you ask at the desk.

Sometimes it depends on how you ask, too. I always get at least 12:30 and have received 2 when I remind them that I'm Plat in a nice way.
I always get free gym access and the $2-$3 tip I give to Keith at RPR goes a long way for enhanced service.

Who is Keith and what is enhanced service? I plan on taking your advice and using the fitness room jacuzzis and showers. Is there an age requirement to use these, I have 2 13 yr olds and a 14 yr old can they use the fitness room?

TIA

I just stayed at the HR this weekend on a FL resident rate and didnt get the room upgrade to deluxe but they did upgrade me to a pool view and gave me a late checkout til 2PM plus the newspaper and fitness room access.

Keith is the fitness/locker room attendant. He remembers my name, he has the whirlpool ready at 6am instead of the 8am posted. He helped me figure out the steam room, he suggested the best shower, and he makes sure all of the toiletries are available when I get out of the shower.
The gym and whirlpool say 16 y.o. or a parent but I don't know how tough they enforce that.

Typically children are not allowed in fitness rooms, mostly because they are really not there to work out as most adults would be, but they would prefer to goof around.
