For years, we've planned on having our anniversary luncheon at Cinderella's Castle, but I was just over in the Restaurant forum reading reviews, and now I'm thinking CRT would be a huge mistake! A busy character lunch with bland food really isn't what we had in mind at all, and apparently that's the overall opinion of the new format. Sooooo, can anyone give suggestions of a dressier luncheon location for a Monday luncheon for 7 people? We would like someplace where we can order a small wedding cake and champagne for after lunch. This will be our 25th anniversary, and we want it to be meaningful and memorable, despite Hurricane Katrina wiping out our financial ability to book the full experience! Any help is greatly appreciated! ~Evelyn

What about somewhere at the GF? Victoria and Alberts is nice and only a short ride away on the monrail!

Alternatively depending on the time of year you could rent out a boat (or the grand1 yacht) and get the GF to cater it for you. I know they can serve cake, stawberries and champagne etc. Ive been told they also can provide a full dinner so im sure a lunch could be done. Im not sure how much this costs though but you could still have the castle in your view!

Anywhere on property would be fine with us... but so many new restaurants have opened up that we haven't tried yet! It's hard to decide, and as this is a particularly special day for us, we didn't want to go blindly with whatever sounded good in the promotional material without rec's from those of you who have been there. I'm so happy to have found DISboards, because y'all are a wealth of information! We do want somewhere that can provide a cake and champagne... so perhaps I should start calling around to the various restaurants to see who can accommodate this? We will be there in mid-December, still during value time, for our anniversary. ~Ev

what about the garden view lounge at the grand floridian? i think this would be a perfect option.

they have tea there daily along with sandwiches & other fancy goodies. theres a menu here http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm with pricing & theres a picture here http://allearsnet.com/acc/gf12.jpg you could order a small cake through the restaurant or a wedding cake from the grand floridian bakery & im sure they could offer champagne.

best of luck with your plans & congratulations on 25 years together!

31 days to go! :bride: twojo21

If you are going to do it at night I would recommend the view from the California Grill. It is pretty pricey. The other option would be Artist Point at Wildness Lodge. Then any restauraunt in Epcot is a good deal. I would go with the french one. How about the Brown Derby at MGM. Where are you staying? There are so many places to eat that serve amazing things!!! More importantly how much are you wanting to spend.
