We have an oceanview 1 bedroom villa booked at Aulani for April. I know it will be a high floor, but what about location? Is there a good location to ask for and if so what is it? Last time we were there 2 years ago we were on the 14th floor near the elevators. It was a great room, but wondering if one is better than another.

It isn't *necessarily* a high floor. There are ocean view rooms on the 5th floor. Try going to the DVC Resorts forum and clicking on the "Aulani Villas and Views" thread. There's lots of info on room locations there :)

We always ask for a room in ewe building 9 and above, preferably 950, 1050, 1150 etc. You have a wonderful view of ocean and pool and lazy river also you can easily hear the music at night.

If you are in the Waianae building facing the pool, can you hear the music in the evening?

I'm following this thread as we are booked in a 2 bedroom ocean view in July. Whether its a dedicated or a lockoff is not specified on my ressie. I'm trying to research what I should request. I know I don't want to be near the kids area as my kids are 17 and 20, I would like to be close to a bar...LOL. Any suggestions?
