I apolgize if this is strictly for Disney World, but I couldn't find anything for Disneyland.

DH and I are staying at the Best Western Stovalls on Katella and from what I can tell its fairly close to PPH. Does anyone know if there is a monorail entrance or some type of parking lot shuttle that we can use to get us to the parks entrance? I can't imagine myself walking the entire distance.

Thanks in advance :goodvibes

There is something called the ART buses - "Anaheim Resort Transit" - there are stops all over the area, and I am sure that there is one near your hotel - as far as I can tell, all ART buses are wheelchair accessible.

It will also be a fairly short walk to the entrance and downtown disney. There is a monorail stop in the Grand Californian I believe, but that will either drop you IN tomorrowland or in Downtown Disney, each with a bit of a walk. I suggest trying the shuttle. Your hotel should know about it.

I would check out ART.

The closest way to walk to the park would be through the Grand CA hotel and into Downtown Disney and then into the parks. We often stay at PPH and that is by far the fastest way to get into either park.

Also, although the monorail runs through GCH it does not stop at the hotel. The monorail only makes two stops: Tomorrowland in Disneyland and DTD near the Rainforest Cafe and close to the Disneyland Hotel.

Hope that helps! :)

I have stayed at Stovalls. We have found it much faster and easier to walk to the park, via GC hotel, instead of driving to the parking lot. Cutting thru the GC cuts time and distance. It is very close! Personally, we do not deal with ART. You could wait a long time for a bus, and it is difficult getting off and on the bus as it does not get you that much closer to the parks.

Have a great time!

Thanks so much for all the help. I posted this on the Disneyland board, as well, and got some good info on renting a scooter from a company outside the park :thumbsup2

Thanks for your help as well

I was going to say that you should get a scooter - there's a lot of walking, even in Disneyland, and if you were going to have a hard time walking, a scooter would be your best option. :)

My trip to Disneyland I brought my own personal scooter with me and stayed at the Super 8 on Katella and while I looked into the ART, it was just easier to drive my scooter to the parks!!

Disneyland Resort really is a different feeling. I've got many trips to WDW under my belt and was just amazed at how compact the DLR is. I was staying at one of the cheapest hotels in the area and was in Disneyland park for fireworks. Left the park after fireworks and was IN my hotel room 15 minutes later!!!!

Impossible to do at WDW unless you stay at the Contemporary!!!
