DH, DS(3) and I are going up to Syracuse, NY for DH's side family reunion. We will be staying two nights at green lakes state park in our RV. Since we will have DS with us I would like help finding some local things for us to help keep him entertained outside of the state park. I found there is a chuck e cheese 18min away but would like some other places to take him too. We are arriving on a Saturday, Sunday is reunion (taft bay lake) and Monday we head home.

There is a large mall in Syracuse called Destiny USA that has a Wonderworks, I know they have a impressive rope course and are building another one for younger kids.

Destiny is great. In addition to Wonderworks they have a Mirror Maze and a new IMAX. There is indoor racing that he wound not be old enough to do however it is fun to watch.

There is the Rosamond Gifford zoo, also the MOST a science museum. The Zoo is on the exchange list if you have a zoo membership check that out as well.

If I think of anything else I will post later.

Destiny as mentioned, don't know your dates, but if interested in baseball, there is NBT Stadium where the Syracuse Chiefs play. They are the AAA team for the Nationals. If you are coming after August 22nd Dave and Busters in Destiny will be open.

You really won't be there long. Green Lakes is beautiful. Between the beach and playground, I bet your little one is plenty busy!

Thanks everyone we will definitely be going to that mall it sounds great to keep DS busy. The reunion is July 21st so we are down that weekend.

DestinyUSA is lots of fun! My girls loved Wonderworks and the ropes course. The new course for little ones just opened too. Be sure to ride the carousel!

On a simple, cheap level...There is the Swan Pond in Manlius (on the way to Destiny) as well as Sno-Top for ice cream. There is the park--which is behind Pavone's Pizza (and they have pretty amazing pizza!)--To get there follow the road behind the building--you'll have to take a left on another road and drive to the end of that to get to the park.

All close by to Green Lakes and not a ton of $.

OP, it has been a brutally hot summer here. We are looking at 90, 93, 92, 92, 90, and 87 with oppressive humidity over the next 5-6 days. Just wanted to give you a heads up that the weather here is like WDW in August so you are prepared.
