LL Strategy

Can someone help with my LL strategy?

I am visiting my grandparents in Florida at the end of June. My nephew will be joining me. Since they live about 2.5 hours from Disney, I decided to take him on a super short trip. We are staying on site. We are arriving at Disney on a Tuesday, making use of the free water park entry, doing MK on Wednesday, and then a half day at HS before driving back to my grandparents.

I have been to Disney countless times, so I'm not really worried about the short trip. My nephew has been once, but he will just be excited to be there (it's a surprise), but there are definitely rides I am going to want to prioritize.

I plan on doing Mutipass at both parks, just to try and get in as much as we can. I do not plan on paying for any Single Lanes at MK (he is tall enough for Tron, but not convinced he will ride it, though he did all the coasters minus Tron on his last trip due to height - but was terrified lol). I really want to get on Tiana but willing to wait if we need to. At HS, I also plan on doing Multi-Pass. Slinky Dog is the priority - he loves it. We will rope drop it, but would also like a Multipass for it if possible. I am also toying with trying to a Rise single lane pass because he missed out on it last time.

Should I book MK or HS first? At HS, will it even be possible to get a Single lane pass before 1pm, even 7 days out? What should my strategy be when it opens up?

I'd for sure book HS early and first! Slinky WILL be hard to get by 1PM 8 days out, but you may get lucky, and if you don't, grab any time you can and then watch like a hawk for time slot refills in the week leading up. Then modify when you find something. There are even websites that will notify you by text if a time comes open. RotR probably won't give you quite as much trouble, but if so, you can modify there too. A week is a lot of time for refills to happen and slots to open as plans change.

Oh for sure it will be really hard. If we don't get Slinky, it's not a huge deal because it's definitely our rope drop priority, but it would be nice to have in case it is down and always a plus to ride twice. I'm accustomed to refreshing all the way back to the FP days!

This is for sure a spur of the moment trip so I am trying not to stress TOO much, but I just want him to enjoy himself and the rides he STILL talks about that I took him on 2 years ago.

That's the best way to think aboutit. Don't stress, just go with the flow. Heck, we DID book Slinky on multiple days last year and NEVER got to actually ride it due to weather or other shutdowns ... unless you count my husband and DD getting stuck just before launch...and then evacuated off the ride On our most recent trip we opted againstbooking a LL, instead planning to ride it during After Hours party ... then Tstorms started ... Slinky went down and stayed that way just as we arrived
