I'm sitting here tonight thinking how I used to live in NJ (a great experience) and would come back from WDW with a longing to go back. Walt Disney being one of my hero's, we had a "Disney" home and our son is growing up just enjoying being a boy (with all the wonder, fun, and adventure that provides him an awesome childhood).

Now that we've just moved to a great home in Florida and in an area that really gives me that "Disney Feeling", I'm so looking forward to spending more time at WDW, Kennedy Space Center, Brevard Zoo, and all the other wonderful Central Florida blessings!

And while I'm waxing melancholy, I just wanted to say how great it is to be in DVC with all you wonderful neighbors. You make my experience even that much more special here on the DIS boards.

Here's hoping your next vacation continues to top the one before!

We joined DVC last April after we returned from WDW. Our reasoning was twofold: 1) We have 2 grandsons and want them to experience Mickey Mouse and all of the other wonderful characters. We want them to grow up slowly, enjoying life along the way. 2) We  Disney! No one does it any better.

We've taken numerous trips from VT to WDW and now, being DVC members we can plan on 2 trips a year. We can get home from one trip an start the countdown on the next. :wizard:

What a beautiful post. I hope you have a wonderful life in FL, and continued happy times at DVC. :wave2:

From Central NJ too, Monmouth County - thinking of making a move - how is it? How different?

Congratulations on Living the Dream. Wishing you all the best. Our dream is to move to Florida from NJ in several years. Don't know if we will, but we dream about it constantly.

DH works for Delphi, but for a division that's for sale. Once that happens, DH will most likely retire, and we'll head for Florida too. Other things to check out in Florida are the wonderful state parks that they have.

We're both from NJ and I agree that living in NJ is a great experience, and I'm always happy to hear those sentiments coming from someone else! I couldn't give up our Cape May home any easier than I could give up our DVC!! Most family and friends are still in NJ and that does enter into it.
