Hey can anyone tell me if the ride through at the living sea's still opperates? I have a fealing it doesn't :confused3 I hope i'm wrong!!!

We just went in December and its not there anymore. I don't think it has been there for several years. Sorry to tell you. :sad1:

Didn't think so my family all say it was still runing during our last trip in 2001 but I dint think it was. Does anybody know why it was closed? :confused3

Seems like I heard the ride had deteriorated and that rather than repair it, they removed it. I think it has been gone for quite a while...10 years maybe? :earsboy:

When my DH and I went in March of 2001 we rode it, then when we were there in may on 2002 and they had just closed it. At that time they were not sure if they we going to repair it or close it. I loved the ride so I was very disappointed to hear that it was closed. :sad2:

I heard that the closing might have something to do with the terrorist attacks...It did close shortly after 9/11. We were there in december 2001 and as i was wondering around aimlessly looking for the ride i finally stopped and asked a cast member where the ride was and he said it closed for "security reasons"

We were there in June 2001 and it was still open. It really wasn't so much a ride as an entry into the exhibit, similar to the preshows at other exhibits.

Thanks for the info guys! Just another ride to add to the list of rides that should of been left!! IMO

Exactly, that used to be my favorite part of the Living Seas. So sad its gone :sad2:

I remember riding it in October 1999. But by 2003 it had gone. The exhibition seemed bigger than I remember, but I don't know if the ride space is being used.

cajunwdwfan, it barely qualified a a ride. It was on the first level and was just a short ride on a tram through a sort of tunnel through the aquarium - there was water above you and on both sides. If you go up to the second level and walk out so that the aquarium walls are on both sides of you, you are more or less walking on top of where the ride was, if that makes sense. It was a very short ride through the tank, but it was interesting.
