Hello everyone... :flower3:

I was just wondering if anyone has pictures of their reception at the Living Seas Salon? I've been there once and I thought it was beautiful but DF thinks it is too dark to have the reception there.. :confused3

Another thought, would my colors matter for that venue since I am having pink, silver, & white.. ? I would gladly appreciate all opinions.. :)

Thank You :goodvibes

When you're in Living Seas Salon it doesn't feel dark like it would if you were at a restaurant with low lighting and could barely read the menu, but it is a trickier place for photographers to shoot in than one with natural light. Personally, I don't like a lot of flash in my photos, so I'd never hold an event there.

The color scheme in Living Seas is dark wood with navy, purple, and lime green accents. If you absolutely adore the place and can't imagine having your reception anywhere else, I say go for it. But if it's one of many possibilities, you might find another place better suited to your color scheme and photo style. :thumbsup2

Thank You Carrie :) I have no idea of the color schemes in any of the venues so that just helped me a bit with the Living Seas, is there any venue you might recommend that I can take a look into that would work with my colors? I was leaning towards the Whitehall Room & Patio but it is not available for my day/time so I'm not sure what else might work.

Thank You again :goodvibes

Dang—I was gonna say Whitehall! What about another room at the GF Convention Center? The color scheme at the BoardWalk Conference Center is rose and ivory, so any of those rooms (like St. James) would work. Ariel's would also work. Let's see... American Adventure Rotunda has lots of pink and white—that would look nice! But the reception would have to be at night. Maybe American Adventure Parlor would work better cuz you can book it any time of day.

I have some pictures, but I do not know how to post. I'll try sending them to you by PM.

I'm not sure how the other rooms at the GF & Boardwalk work since I will def have less than 50 people but on the Disney Weddings site I did see a picture that caught my attention thats located there and also at the Boardwalk. :confused3 A few days ago I came across St. James but I've only found 1 picture which shows what it looks like outside so I'm not sure what the inside looks like there but I would def consider it. Yeah, Ariel's seems like a pretty location but I'm not sure how I feel about the fish hanging from the ceiling in there. :lmao: I just looked into the American Adventure Rotunda since you mentioned it has pink & white, but I read that there is a minimum of 100 guests required for that venue so if that's so it is def out for me. As for the American Adventure Parlor I can't find any pictures for it either. :confused3

I have my ceremony & dessert party locations already figuered out so the reception is what is keeping me busy for now.. :upsidedow

Thank You again for all the help :flower3:

I'm not sure how to post pictures up on here as well but I do appreciate it. :goodvibes

I think your colors would work in the living seas. I am having my reception there in January and the lights can actually be changed so it is brighter if you'd like. Also the walls are Oak and remember that brown is a neutral. My colors are lilac, pale pink, and silver. I am using the lilac to tie kind of "bridge" between the wedding pavilion and the aquarium. Another plus of that room is you save A TON on decorations/center pieces/etc.

This site had more photos of St. James:

Also, so that I stay on the original topic, you can change out the navy and lime linens at Living Seas Salon for any colors you want, you just have to be willing to pay for it. :thumbsup2
