Living Seas Restaurant Feedback

Thought the granddaughters might like the restaurant at the Living Seas. I understand you get a good look at the aquarium. Is it very fancy? Meaning, would it be appropriate to take 2 and 4 year old girls for an early dinner? They are pretty good for those ages, but I hate to do anything too fancy. Thanks for the feedback!!

Coral Reef is the name of the restaurant, just in case you're looking for it on the Disney website: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/coral-reef-restaurant/

It's an in-park restaurant, so no, it's not unheard of for children to be in there. It's not considered fine dining, so if you'd like to eat there, go for it. Enjoy the view!

It's not fancy, there are young kids everywhere in WDW. The tables next to the aquarium offer the best view, but they are limited in number. You can see the fish from just about anywhere in the restaurant but it's more like they are in the background.

We swore off the Coral Reef many years ago, but decided on a lunch (with our young granddaughters) about 4-5 years ago, and we all enjoyed what we had (but none of our group had fish or seafood.)

A little bit on the fancier end, but fine for young children. It's Disneyworld, lots of kids, and it's not a signature.

It's fancier in that you'll find lowered lighting (to better see in to the tank) and a nicer ambiance than the typical quick service restaurant. BUT, remember that it's located inside of a theme park. It will be full of tourists. In other words, it's fine for normally behaved children of those ages.

We were just there last week and we brought our 21 month old. He loved it! Kept yelling, "Whoah!" as the fish went by in the aquarium. The server even joined in with him. He loved it so much we went back and ate there a second time towards the end of our trip. There were plenty of children there and they are definitely welcome.

Very kid friendly. Even if not next to the aquarium you and the kids will have a good view and no issues if the kids want to get closer for the view. It is one of my favorite spots, I like the food but it has mixed reviews so I would check the menus and make sure you and your littles will like it.

We took a 3 and 5 year old there and they loved it. When you show up, ask if you can be seated in the lower levels, as they have a better /closer view of the aquarium.

I want to say that as for the bolded statement, PLEASE make sure your kids don't annoy the people that are sitting at the window. Years ago we had two school age kids whose parents sent them down to the front to see better. These kids kept hanging on to our seats and bumping into us. We asked them to stop several times but they persisted until they saw we were clearly getting annoyed. The parents said nothing. We always ask for the top section now as we can see the tank and better enjoy our meal.

Thanks for sharing that. Sorry to hear someone was rude enough to think that was proper behavior. Hopefully we get a table by the glass, but if not, I'm confident these two young ladies will be well behaved.

Tankside are best seats in the place. My 22 and 25 year olds loved it and have since they were small. Food is okay but view is great.

When our kids were younger, they loved it for eating and seeing an amazing aquarium. The food was average at best. Has been several years since we have dined there. No real interest to go back.
