When the Living Seas refurbishment is finished, will the ride on the seacabs come back or is the entire exhibit going to change? I know they used to be there, but the last time I was there the ride part was gone. I was just curious. Any info would help. :fish:

Honestly, no one really knows anything about the rehab. Disney has been very secretive about the plans. Rumor is that the seacabs will come back, however, we don't know whether the ride will be expanded or not. Will there be a movie? The hydrolators still? No one really knows.

One thing is for certain, though - they won't be getting rid of Turtle Talk with Crush. In fact, they will be retheming the whole pavilion to take on a Finding Nemo theme (even moreso than it is now).

Sorry that there's no real answer for you...no one knows what is to come, though.

I can not wait untill June 2006 and see. My family are big aquarium lovers - may even try the Coral Reef for lunch (hope for DDE discount still exists).

I hope WDW advertises what is new by December 2005.

It's amazing the lack of info out there about the Living Seas. They've done a good job keeping it quiet. About the only near-confirmed thing I know is that the hydrolators won't likely be coming back - and strong rumors suggest the seacabs will return. I won't miss the hydrolators - it was just a gimmick to start with that I never cared too much about.

Looking at another website's discussion forums (wdwmagic.com) - BTW, I know, I know, it's sacrilege looking at another site other than the DIS ;) - Nevertheless, looking at the other site, I gleaned some new info (remember, take this with a grain of salt):

In November, it's likely that guests will enter Living Seas through the current exit. The hydrolators will be gone. New carpets, paint jobs, and more "Nemo-fication" will be done to the upper levels, while Turtle Talk, the Bruce the Shark section, and the sting ray section will likely remain the same.

However, the remainder of the pavilion (including the new ride) will open in 2006 (no date known yet). The ride will likely take up one of the preshow theaters, the hydrolator space, and where the old ride was. It is likely that one preshow film will remain. The ride will feature projections of Nemo in the aquarium segments of the ride (much like the Finding Nemo ride being built at Disneyland in the old 20,000 Leagues lagoon).

Once again, these are simply rumors that someone posted on the discussion boards of wdwmagic.com. I'd post a link to the page, but it just feels weird to post a link to another discussion board.

No hydrolators?? My kids (5 and 2) loved that. The 5 year old was convinced that we had gone way down in this really cool elevator. Oh well, that's progress.

I would assume that they are also revamping the seating for Turtle Talk. The current set up with the big blocks wastes alot of space. By putting benches in, they will increased seating capacity, because the waits can be pretty long at this attraction. I would love to see the ride return. I also love all of the new attention EPCOT is getting, but would love to see a new sponsor take over wonders of life to give that paviolion new life again!

yeah, the wait at turtle talk is HUGE, it was like 25 minutes. I mean, who would ever want to wait 25 minutes for a 15 minutes long show. I would much prefer waiting 90 minutes at soarin for a 4 minute ride.

I don't consider wdwmagic, intercot, wdisneyw, allearsnet, mouseplanet, mousesavers to be sacrilege considering each has their own set of CMs or insiders that give great and often times accurate information. :teeth:

As they say... Knowledge is power!

I'm really excited to see the new Living Seas, espeically if they add a ride! Unfortunately I never got to experience the ride that everyone on here is mentioning, so anything they put in would be new to me! :teeth:

I am sad that the Hydrolaters might be gone...I always found them cute, espeically for little kids :sad1:
