Does anyone know if the new Nemo attraction has wheelchair accessible "clammobiles"?

I didn't see any. I saw people getting out of their wheelchair and their wheelchair being returned to them at the ride exit. I did see a CM with a remote control to slow it down for slow to board people.

yes they do and the whole ride slows down for boarding (like starship earth).

This is correct. It's a bigger clam shell with a ramp. They even added some seaweed between the wheelchair access. clams and the regular ones too.

Caribear -

Am I reading you correctly that there are wheel-chair specific cars that one can wheel a chair directly on to (like Buzz and Pooh)?

If so, that's great news...go Disney.

We got to ride it Tuesday about 40 or so people after they opened it late in the afternoon. They definitely designed it to speed masses through (much like HM, but with no pre-ride bit), so a wheelchair loading intermittently shouldn't hurt the enjoyment too much.

But, ...
There are still some very "rough edges" to the ride (hopefully the "jellyfish" we saw were not all the finished product-- some need work), and it broke down when we were about 90% through (at the start the song at the end, with the animated characters "animatoverlaid" into the real Living Seas tank) so we had to walk out.

Yes, I did see wheelchair specific clams. They are about double the size of the regular clams. For those that are able to transfer from a wheelchair the ride comes almost to a complete stop, just like Haunted Mansion or Spaceship Earth.

We didn't get to see the ride on our recent trip. :sad2:
But, we were told there were wheelchair accessible cars, similar to Buzz Lightyear.

Also, in most cases, Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth only need to slow for people with disabilities to board, but both of those rides can be stopped if they need to be.

Unfortunately, for rides like Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth they don'thave wheelchair accessible vehicles, so if you can't transfer, you can't ride it. I'm glad that they are making more of the rides with wheelchair accessible vehicles and I wish on rides where there aren't any, they would get some.

Yep, I'm well aware of that. We can transfer our DD onto both of those rides because (even though she can't walk un-aided) she can be stood up by us to make a transfer onto those rides. That's only because they are pretty high seats and we can pull her wheelchair in almost touching the ride cars.

There are some rides that are too difficult to attempt transfers any more - We can do Pirates once a trip, maybe. We can't do Peter Pan any more and even though she likes Splash Mountain, she doesn't want to ride it because it is so hard to get on and off.

I love the new rides that are more accessible and am sad about the rides DD can no longer do because she got too big for us to easily lift.
